Avoid the sitting near walls with electronic devices. The pests seem to be attracted to my tablet while I was enjoying the hungry man breakfast.

Excellent stop for breakfast. Reindeer sausage, potatoes and eggs were very tasty - the marble rye toast a perfect compliment to the meal.

The sour dough pancakes are killer! Salmon Bagel is best in town as well.

Service was very slow, disappointing. In the lobby of the hotel. It was quite busy and there was not a good system of noticing people when their table was ready. The staff were not using a waiting list, and the organization was not there. Honestly I wouldn't recommend it given how pricey it is. There's better placed around.

Hello!

I’m writing this review to mention a couple of things that I experienced during my time in this hotel and restaurant service; the hotel atmosphere is great, the people is helpful. The service at the restaurant is totally poor, because the waiter that took my order was probably having a bad day, she taken my order. The service was bad at the time she taken my order. She mentioned things like she doesn’t like how the manager handle’s situations. She is tired to work there because people tell her what to do all the time, her coworkers don’t help enough and also she mentioned things about not receiving too much tips. After she taken my order I got surprised by the comments that she made. I think she was having a bad day or probably just like she said she is tired to work there. I saw her also counting money and putting it in pocket in front of people like she was stealing from the register. The waitresses name is Ann, she is hundred percent Filipino. I hope someone helps her to make her job more easy. I think she could stop talking about how difficult her work is.

I'm usually a very good tipper {25-30%}. But today I only left $2.00 service was so bad. I had to ask him to refill my coffee every time. I wanted another cup but couldn't wait for him to come back.

Very nice restaurant inside of the Captain Cook Hotel, they were very busy, but we still got quality food and service.

I always come here for the sourdough pancakes and their salmon bagel! So delicious! Wish they were open later in the day

We love dining here for breakfast. Beautiful hotel vibes without having to book there. The service is excellent and the food is always delicious with several options.

Opened only for breakfast which has a rich menu for your stomach. We had the Alaskan Salmon omelette. Forgot to take a picture because it looked very delicious. Topped with Avocado and it looked fully stuffed inside. The harsh brown was huge and crispy. My wife couldn’t wait to start but she usually took pictures first but not this time ?. I had the Alaskan breakfast with reindeer sausage and 2 over easy eggs cooked just right. Taste of the reindeer sausage was one of a kind. Again it had the huge harsh brown. To add more fiber to my breakfast, I ordered the oatmeal with blueberries and strawberries on the side. Slides of almond and dry raisin added to enriched the flavor. The breakfast was completed with a cup of coffee. Great place to have breakfast and we will go back tomorrow before we leave ANC for the Cruise. We strongly recommend this place (for breakfast only since they only serve breakfast).

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Anchorage. Coffee is always strong and not bitter. Menu includes real sourdough pancakes. This morning, I had the paleo eggs, and it was fantastic. I have also had the avocado toast, many of the omelets (love the king crab omelet) and the eggs benedict. Fantastic service and food. It’s fun to watch the people walk by in the hotel. Great place for a quiet conversation.

Staff were all too busy to seat or serve us. Had to beg for table, coffee, water, etc. Bill came without asking though! Food was meh. Typical hotel restaurant

We stayed at Hotel Captain Cook during Fur Rondy.Probably because of the event, the cafe seemed busy especially after 7:30, so we ate breakfast only once during our stay.We went down there before 7:00 am but they had several empty tables but this was after the Iditarod. The employees were very nice and the service was fast.We ordered the sourdough pancakes and Alaskan breakfast. We have eaten reindeer sausages in Finland before but the one here did not have a strong smell and flavor so we enjoyed eating them for breakfast. The pancakes were a little flatter and not super fluffy but that might be because they were sourdough based so theyay not rise as other pancakes do. The Alaskan breakfast was very nice and well rounded especially if you need a hardy breakfast before going out into the cold. Would recommend at least trying here once during you stay in Anchorage.

I will definitely return! The service was great, the food was amazing and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I had reindeer sausage for the first time, and while good, I had to cut the skin off as it was hard to eat.

Very good food the employees there are friendly. They even made us breakfast without soy and nuts since we had an allergy. I would highly recommend coming here for your next breakfast!!!
