We went here on a Friday at 4:00 in the afternoon. Can’t speak to the nightlife, but when we were there, the service was great and the staff and other patrons were all very friendly. Seemed like a “local watering hole” kind of place. They had a pool table as well that was in good condition. That’s what drew us in.

Rude sketchy notorious people, rude unwelcoming staff, always trouble starting (fights, antagonizers) Ive personally seen stabbings and shootings here. Not welcoming. The musics the usual lameness too. The Asslights the same as it ever was. Unless youre desperate for a dive bar, I dont recommend.

I was assaulted at gaslight. Some random person came up and punched me three times and I was knocked out. The security did nothing to apprehend the man and afterwords, the staff and security treated me with hostility, accusing me of starting the fight and clearly did not want to deal with the issue. I held my ground and got the police involved, but I highly suggest people find another bar to go to if you want to be safe and respected.The gaslight doesn't care for your safety and avoids any responsibility when they have incidents.EDIT: If you don't believe me about the reputation of the gaslight, I implore you to read the reply that the owner of the establishment left below. Once again, I am treated with hostility. This proves my point and I will reiterate my advice to never purchase from or enter this establishment.

Don’t go to this bar it’s one of the sketchiest bars in anchorage and that’s saying a lot they have had bartenders that are known for drugging women it’s not a safe place avoid at all costs

Nice spot for some drinks and if u wanna ride a mechanical bull. There was a female airline pilot convention taking place there when I stopped in so... had a good time. Everyone was super chill, bar staff and bouncer included. I'd recommend stopping in.
Short blonde bartender with all the make up is not only rude but racist as well. Nice treatment! Seriously needs a wake up call or a new career. Maybe telemarketing where she can’t see the color of someone’s skin.

After failing to find a seat in many different bars, we stumbled across this place. It was late afternoon and the bar was almost empty, apart from a few local bar flies. It should have been as busy as the other bars. It has a lot of TVs showing sport and good friendly bar staff. A couple of the locals even suggested a few places to visit. So apart from the one creepy guy staring at us for the entire time we were there, I am lost for why it was empty. Maybe it picks up later in the night.
