Kudos to Anchorage Yelp Elite Vic E. for listing and reviewing this spot! This is the kind of spot that without its being on Yelp, and Vic's instructions, I would completely miss it! This is a great grab-n-go spot. The have breakfast burritos, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and soup. Breakfast stops at 10:30am Prices are very good for Alaska. (I can think of very few places where you can get a meal for under $10 in this state) Portions are a little on the small side, at leas for what I got: the blue ribbon wrap. I also thought the wrap could be a little hotter (temp-wise, maybe put it in the panini press for a bit?), and the mix of ingredients came off a bit too sweet/cloying for me. Still, it was a solid lunch. It came with chips and salsa. I found the salsa extremely mild, wish it had more jalapeno and cilantro. They've also got many drinks, and even salads, in a grab-n-go case if you're in a huge hurry. Vic describes the location wonderfully. Pretty much, it's on the 2nd story of the Frontier building, right next to the skywalk. The frontier building is that mirrored 14(?) story building at the intersection of 36th and A St.

With the aftermath of the earthquake gradually going behind us, I can refocus on the fun hobby of posting reviews on Yelp. I am amazed that no one has posted a review on this place considering how busy it gets during the lunch hour. The Office Café is located in the Frontier Building on the 2nd floor next to the hair salon by the skybridge connecting the adjoining parking structure. This is a rather convenient spot for me since I happen to work in the fourth floor of the same building. The seating area is small with a few tables off to one side and a counter on the other. However, a majority of the customers are usually employees that work in the building which would explain why they close at 3:30PM on the weekdays. The staff are friendly and quick to help me whenever I come down to visit. I came by on a recent weekday earlier last week for lunch since I didn't feel like venturing out on a gloomy day with freezing rain. They have a sign posted just outside the entrance displaying the daily and weekly specials including the soup of the day. Soups change on a frequent basis and there is also a soup bar by the register that has three different varieties to choose from. I decided to order the weekly special which was the Guacamole Burger with a side of chips and salsa. The wait times are relatively reasonable with the wait just a few minutes during the lunch rush. You can avoid the wait by going on their Facebook page and posting the order before coming down to pick it up, a convenient option for most of the workers there. The burger itself was good with a generous dollop of spicy guacamole and melted cheddar. The chips and salsa were pretty average, nothing spectacular but a good complement with the burger. The cafe's menu itself serves your standard lunch variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and breakfast which is available from 7:30 to 10:30AM. Some noticeable items caught my attention for return lunch visits. This includes the Federal Holiday (roast turkey, Havarti cheese, tomato, lettuce, and cranberry cream cheese spread on toasted multi-grain bread), the Blue Ribbon Wrap (hot roast beef, mushrooms, bell peppers, blue cheese crumbles, field greens, crispy fried onions, and their blue ribbon sauce wrapped in a garlic herb tortilla....sounds like a winner to me!), and the Santa Fe Quesadilla (cheddar-jack cheese, seasoned chicken, pico de gallo, black bean corn medley, and picante sauce). A convenient spot to grab something on the go.
