The food was good and the sushi tasted fresh, but the experience wasn’t perfect. We had to wait quite a while before being seated, even though the place didn’t look overly busy. The menu also felt a bit limited — not as many options as I expected.

Overall, the dishes we did get were tasty and the service was friendly once we were seated, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Solid place, just not a full five-star visit this time.

Sushi was great. Fish was fresh and flavorful.

We had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately left extremely disappointed. After being seated, we placed our order almost immediately and were served soup and salad fairly quickly. Then we just waited and waited. We watched as every table around us, including ones that arrived well after we did, received their meals while we continued to sit there with nothing.

After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, we asked our server to check on our order. She seemed completely confused and acted like we had never even ordered in the first place. At that point, we had been sitting there for over an hour, starving, so we just got up and left.

This is the 4th time in a row were me and my fiancée have experienced bad service at this restaurant. The older lady, is extremely rude, EVERYTIME.
Tonight we went just to have a drink, and she told us “um if you’re having just a drink you need to sit at the bar.”
I would understand that, but it’s 9:45pm and there’s maybe 10% of the tables taken at the time. If it was 6pm and the tables were packed, that would make sense but that wasn’t the case at all.
I confronted her, and asked why, she said “it’s the Alaska law to only drink at the bar if you don’t order food”. Which is a complete lie.
Each time I have been to Sushi Sushi, the service has been absolutely horrible. I definitely recommend going to other sushi restaurants in Anchorage, before I’d ever recommend this one.

I love this place. So delicious and always friendly. Top notch!

Salmon nigiri was so good! Miso soup and salad were free and the miso was so savory. Yakisoba noodles were very flavorful.

Will definitely be back!

EDIT 8/26/25: Ended up coming here for dinner on a random Tuesday. Service was HORRIBLE. It was not busy at all. We sat down after another couple had arrived and they were greeted and were able to order and get their food fairly quickly. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks and another 10-15 minutes to get our order taken. We had to ask a random server to take our order since we have been waiting a while. On top of that, no server checked up on our table nor did they ask if we wanted any refills. There were literally servers just walking around, not doing anything. On top of that we had to ask someone to get our check because we were just done. Never eating here again if the service is like this.

The orange chicken was good and so was the mongolian beef. Sashimi tasted fresh as well.

Came here for my birthday dinner. The sushi was alright, but the service was really great. In my opinion it’s just way too overpriced & some of the sushi didn’t taste as good as I thought it would.
