Great little coffee shop, I wanted to stop by many times because I shop at Sweet Caribou a lot which is next-door. It’s nice it looks clean and spacious and beautiful the seating area looks great to sit down and read a paper and drink your coffee. So today while at sweet Caribou I decided to get a cup of coffee and a mocha both of which were for me, (I do have a lot of work in my car) and both were very good. Add come back again it’s got that little coffeehouse feel that I like.

First I like that it is a local shop, which is why I want to like it so much but everytime I've visited its been disappointing and it's hard to appreciate this place. The first visit I was doing a pick-up and wanted to place an order but the batista asked me to step aside so she could help the people behind me first, I thought that was rude. Second time, I think the batista was new and he did not know how to make all the drinks. It was a 40 minute wait and there was only 3 people ahead of me. I appreciated the free coffee coupon, as I think the owner realized I was a little upset with the wait. My third visit I wanted to use the coupon and I ordered it 10 minutes ahead of time so that when I arrived I would not have to wait. I arrive and the cup was still sitting on the counter with only the syrups and ice. I think they were trying to make it fresh by waiting until I arrived but if I ordered ahead it's because I want it ready when I get there. To top it off they were out of almond milk which isn't a huge downer but still sad for me. I love the mix of art and coffee here and the touch of retro that is going on with the espresso machine but I can't come here again unless I plan on spending the afternoon there and have no other plans.

Very special place. Comfy and jazzy, good to chat a bit, or simply sit back and relax.

Uncle Leroy's is a chill little spot in the heart of Midtown Anchorage, located at the corner of 36th and Arctic. ULC has amazing offerings of artisan coffee, specializing in slow pours, which is how they got their start before having two brick and morter locations (the other being off of Debarr, in the mall, near what used to be the Royal Roller Palace.)ULC is open now for indoor seating, and are maintaining good practices for Covid times. The walls are laiden with wonderful local art, and the coffee and food selections are quick but quite delicious. The only complaint I might have is when we were in there last one of the employees had chosen to play a song about "If you're 5-5-5, then I'm SIX-SIX-SIX," and being that I'm a devout Mormon who was meeting with a Jehovah's Witness, this was slightly disturbing.

The coffee is outstanding and the service excellent! Choose your method of brewing and savor the flavors. I’ve enjoyed their coffee at other locations for years, so am thrilled that they have opened a café in midtown / Spenard area. Good treats to go with your brew, and a direct connection to the tasty Sweet Caribou next door!

Has a great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food! Also, they roast their own beans which adds a nice little touch. Plenty of space to relax either at the bar or tables, with a low-key coffee shop feel. Plenty of coffee/tea selections as well as breakfast burritos and desserts!

Coffee shops are at every corner around these parts. I'm not sure if it has to do w/their long winters and summers. I've tried all the Roasters around Kaladi and Black Cup. Best cup of coffee in my opinion, probably Kaladi, but if you want an awesome local vibe and experience to check out, i have to say Uncle Leroy's. Black cup is a beautiful spot, but a little too pretentious in my opinion, not sure if it's due to all the out of towners hitting that spot up first. I just enjoy the atmosphere, the way they serve drinks at Uncle Leroy's compare to the rest.

Great locally roasted small batch coffee with a cool hipster vibe right here in Anchorage. It's nice that it doesn't feel sketchy whatsoever in here. The baked goods were amazing also.

Very good coffee! We grabbed a hot latte with the bourbon vanilla and it was great! It had a great rich vanilla bodied flavor that is unique! They have a handful of homemade flavors so be sure to check them out!

I love visiting local coffee shops when I'm traveling. I had the chai latte, which was very good, and just loved the overall atmosphere. It was a great way to finish off the trip!

I'm a little "different" from most coffee drinkers. I like a cappuccino (it's an Italian drink). I come here and I get a cappuccino. So what? I like the way they taste. The milk hurts my stomach sometimes, but I drink them anyway. They make them really well here, and the people are nice. Frankly, it's a nice place to go any day of the week (Monday through Friday, or even the weekend if you don't have weekend plans. Sometimes, I will go before my weekend plans and drink my coffee as I drive.) Five stars.

Great service, amazing coffee (specially the Lavender Lovers coffee...delicious), and please try the fresh out of the oven biscuits with chai butter. Awesome little place with super good vibes. Highly recommend.
