The most generous, fun, witty, lady bar tender I think from California and been at XYZ for around 20 years. She even stayed a little later to accommodate 3 of us still wanting last minute drinks and since I missed my flight I was stuck until 4am at the Aloft with no reservation and she made me an extra special drink of her own design... I'll always remember the best service and I'm actually NOT a drinker but the dried fruit addiction made it like a meal!! I absolutely loved it and will try drinking more with dried fruits!!

Staying at Aloft Anchorage for a week for business. So far, the customer service is outstanding with a shout out to Sasa, who exemplifies professionalism. It feels like the staff really go out of their way for guests. Everything at the hotel is pretty easy to navigate. My room is standard and has both a microwave and a refrigerator. It is clean, bright, and the walls are thick enough that I don’t hear my neighbors. Overall, a great experience.
Aloft properties can always be trusted to have up to date contemporary rooms. Large rooms with fun decor. Lots of parking. Okay location. Not the greatest of city views. Attentive staff. No on-site breakfast.
I waited a week to leave this review to allow the hotel manager, RR, to get back to me after a disappointing set of mistakes made by the hotel staff, Astoria specifically. Unfortunately, after calls, voicemails, and emails, Ricky has yet to respond, which tells me my overall impressions of the hotel and staff were correct; they are unresponsive, condescending, and unhelpful. They misrepresented information about an early check to my family, charged me an extra night, and the room had several issues, including damage and cleanliness. I have used Aloft and W hotels for years, and after this experience, I will look to other chains that know how to provide better service. If you can stay elsewhere, please do yourself a favor and book another hotel. I DO NOT recommend this hotel.
We had a great stay. We especially wanted to thank Nora the front desk worker, for her hospitality and help! We also wanted to say how awesome Mike the shuttle driver was. He was professional and went above and beyond for us!
Simple yet ultra modern, bright open concept. Amazing pool soak area.
Very disappointed. Shower glass doors do not provide privacy. Shower can be viewed by other people staying in room. Shower is not in a separate room. The toilet is in a separate room but sliding doors bang and are difficult to quickly shut. Toilet room is very small. The pool is built for toddlers. Five or six full side across steps descend to bottom of pool. Toddler friendly design. I have never seen this before.
Clean, safe, quiet in our room. Seemed to be located more in the business district than the touristy downtown. Had a bar area downstairs and an indoor pool/hot tub. We didn’t spend time in the lobby areas, just in the room. It’s a new hotel, the early low ratings were perhaps a result of startup issues which we did not experience. Breakfast was limited, with no place nearby. Outback just a couple blocks away for dinner. Would certainly return. Side note, because we were away from tourist area downtown, we accidentally found the close by Alaskan Fur Exchange and Wild Berry shops for gifts. Both Alaska oriented and unique.

Stayed here 1 night before leaving Anchorage. Loved the unique feel and staff were friendly and helpful. Booked last minute and price was very reasonable. Will definitely stay again next time we’re in Anchorage.
Tried getting a room 20 Aug 22 after flying into Anchorage at midnight. Was told there were plenty of rooms. Front desk couldn’t confirm a room in my presence for 20+ min. Took my credit card twice. Finally told me there was a computer glitch and there weren’t any rooms so I left. 1am. Next day there were two separate charges for $10 on my cc statement from Aloft. WTF?? Called hotel and they couldn’t do anything. Said it would fall off my statement. 4 days later still there. I called again and front desk couldn’t do anything but hang up on me. Called back to talk to manager. Got vm and no return call yet. Appears they need to train staff in how to use computers and to be polite!
AVOID! I work in Anchorage regularly and have never had a problem ever at the Residence Inn or Four Points Sheraton. The Aloft, however, is the ABSOLUTE worst. Stayed here with my wife for 9 nights. Worst wifi on planet Earth. They NEVER fixed it ever during our entire stay. Neither I nor my wife were able to do any work etc. They have the worst room and door entry system of any hotel on Earth. Physical keys don’t even work regularly for their other non main entrances and they are completely disinterested in fixing anything. We regularly lost room access on a daily basis which generated multiple visits to long lines at the counters to get new keys. The mobile key never worked during my entire stay. When I demonstrated this to the maintenance person, he literally said “I never even knew people could use their phone to enter rooms and doors!” All the staff have flat blunted affects and seem disinterested in life. I requested to speak with the general and regional managers, and they never ever attempted to contact me. We are in Juneau and the Sheraton Four points has a friendly and energetic staff, functioning wifi, and no issues with door access. Aloft was $500 a night and could not provide that even to an Ambassador Titatium Elite member.
My husband and I stayed at this Aloft for two nights as part of a longer trip to the area. The hotel is new and has a very fresh, fun vibe. There is a billiards table in one portion of the first floor and there are several books and table areas with a few card games available to play. The room was spotless, front desk staff were lovely, and we were even provided with a little snack bag when my husband stopped by the desk the second day to ask a question- thanks, Kiki -(spelling?) One reviewer mentioned that the toiletries and hair dryer are Dry Bar brand; the toiletries definitely are, but the hair dryer (at least in our room) was a nice model Conair in the same yellow color as Dry Bar. No problem at all, but I just wanted to clarify. We are Platinum/Titanium Marriott Bonvoy members and have stayed at many Marriott properties. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again. The space is well utilized and there is nice, glass-doored mini fridge we used to keep a few extra soft drinks and waters in. I would note that the storage space is minimal, and the “closet” is an open storage rack with hanging bar, so longer stays may require some creative management of clothing and such if you travel with a lot of luggage.
Very kind bartenders and delicious food and drinks :)
