This is without a doubt the best food in anchorage. Such authentic German food. The bratwurst is incredible. Atmosphere, staff and the ability to get a raddler on tap make this my go to spot whenever in anchorage.

This was a nice German restaurant. The only weird thing about this place is the entrance is within close view of the dumpster. A little unsettling but once you're in it's quite homey with service of the server and decorations. I want to say Hollie was the server and you could tell that she was proud and confident of her position and establishment. I happen to get the wiener snichtzel and it was pretty good. Overall I'd recommend this place to anyone missing some German food. They also have some good beers on their menu.

I was so excited for dinner here. I had heard so many wonderful things. The atmosphere and food looked wonderful. Unfortunately, the waiter never put my order in. My family received their food but I did not. I patiently waited for my food it never came and he never checked in on us. I asked the lady at the till what happened. “ He didn’t put your order in”. Very disappointed, wouldn’t go back because of the service.

Absolute treasure of a find in Anchorage, AK. Authentic German food in a snowy back drop. Schnitzel was outstanding, Spätzle was fresh...Red Cabbage was OK...the Beer was awesome. Service was friendly and efficient! Great restaurant with a neat German feel. Recommend in a heart beat! Prost!

If you're looking for something new to eat, this would be an excellent place. It has a home cooked meal feel to it. Different flavors and hearty taste. Great comfort food option I think. I thought the pork schnitzel was a little on the dry side. Even with gravy, it was a little chewy despite of how thin it was. I also hoped that the cabbages were a little more thinly sliced. The server lady was very efficient and quick in getting order which I liked. The food came out very quick too. Good to have its own parking lot. I might return if I'm craving some comfort food but overall it was not my favorite restaurant. You might like it though!
