“W&R wasn’t necessarily the most welcoming environment. I also didn’t appreciate the air of pretentiousness from the staff. Although the atmosphere was gorgeous it was really loud. Our server was abrasive and said some comments that were passive aggressive, but he did his job well. The appetizers were great! I recommend the scotch tamago. The chicken wings were dinky considering the price, but I liked the citrus breading. I wish the ramen was more hot since it was only warm when we got it. I want to see steam emanating from the bowl as ramen should be. The business lounge ramen was missing the enoki and the chasu for the sugamo star seemed too tough to be considered actual pork tenderloin. I feel like you can’t expect greatness from a “ramen shop” in Alaska but I appreciate the effort.“
