This place celebrates 80 years next year. Just a nice little old timey style cafe. Food was excellent, I recommend the halibut sandwich grilled and not fried.

Kind of a 'dive' diner. Staff was basic, unpretentious, but ok in this diner but the food was terrific. Much better than the 'other' better place known with a long wait. We had breakfast, omelets A+, home fries A+, eggs A+...highly recommend. Service was 'B' at best, but, hey. They got our order and our food, so...okay!

Great little diner with good hometown vibe. If you've been curious about reindeer sausage, they have a basic breakfast plate with it that is a good start to the day.
Thank you for never changing. Been coming here for 20 years and the food is still just as good as the first time I had it which most places can’t say these days. Service is always great and selection of drinks from local places is amazing! Still packaged in foil so there is none of those damn to go boxes to throw away. Cheers to a classic Anchorage gem.

Awesome food! We had the halibut sandwich and halibut tacos w/ a cup of the reindeer soup. Everything was delicious! Large portions. Service was great too! Highly recommend.

I placed an order for pick up, and it took about 5 minutes for them to get to me. It was semi busy so it was understandable. Once they finally asked me what I was there for I told them I had an order for pick up ( the halibut and fries). He handed me the bag and told me I needed to pay. When I told him I paid already he said no I had not. I was confused because I had ordered online. He then looked at it again and realized I had ordered online, but proceeded to tell me that I should just call them next time instead of ordering online because it’s 10% cheaper. Which is great to know :). When I opened my bag on the way back to eat my fries I was disappointed with how greasy, soggy and cold my fries were. They were balled up in foil. I should have went back, but at that point I was just over it. My sandwich was decent, it would have been better if it were warmer. Overall this place is probably somewhere you’d want to sit down and eat vs. order to go.
