The location we visited is next to 49th State Brewery off Christensen Dr in a converted container. Great ambiance. Had great weather to sit at the bench seating. Had a vegan bahn mi from the 49th State container next to it. We tried both ice cream sandwiches. Both were great. Both big.
Tasty unique flavor ice cream, fire weed.

It's a walk-up counter on the sidewalk, so there is not much attributable atmosphere. But the treat they call a Baked Alaskan is the most incredible cone I've ever had.
Kid-friendliness: It's an ice cream shop.

Wow. One of a kind whipped marshmallow that really takes the ice cream to the next level. I thinks is also part of the anchorage experience. Make sure you give it a try. It’s worth it

Don't know why, but this is one of the best ice cream I ever had! Super creamy, but not too sweet. Make sure to try the whipped marshmallows on top. We had caramel one and camp fire one. Both are really good..
Must try!!

It’s been ages since I had a vegan cookie sandwich and the dreamwich was everything I didn’t know I needed. There was another cookie sandwich and vegan scoops to choose from. Great to have options!
Faster than the other location, but parking is more difficult. The basked Alaska was amazing!

I don't need ice cream very much but when I do.It's definitely wild scoops. I get the baked Alaska style which is heaven. I also love how you can get 2 half scoops to make 1 scoop. I love being able to have two different flavors and not have to eat a whole bunch. I love they have a new location. All three of them are wonderful

Local ice cream? Yes, please. Add in local flavors like Fireweed? Oh, we're in! We enjoyed our one stop at Wild Scoops during our few nights in Anchorage. My wife and I shared a small with Fireweed and Rhubarb Crumble. We hadn't seen these flavors anywhere else in the world at an ice cream shop so it was a delight to experience them.
The fireweed was a unique Alaska-only flavor and the rhubarb crumble (our favorite of the two) was an indulgent treat!
There are a number of other treats to try besides their daily flavors in cups or cones including sampler flights, "frozen nachos", and a Baked Alaska!
Every time we walked by there was a line of varying lengths but it went fairly quickly so don't get turned off by that. It's a window front establishment so the line and service is on the street.
They're open every day 12 noon to 10pm.

Delicious!! You absolutely must get the “baked alaska” on whatever flavor you choose. It’s toasted marshmallow fluff and it was so yummy.
Kid-friendliness: The kid sized scoops are the perfect amount for little ones.
