My coworker talked about Xalo's all week so of course I had to treat myself.

She recommended the birria tacos, California burrito, and Mexican Caesar salad.

I got the birria tacos on the first trip. Definitely the best birria tacos I've ever had. They were the perfect amount of greasy deliciousness. Highly recommend. I got the strawberry horchata because why not. It was different. Happy I tried it but I'm good.

Atmosphere – 5 stars
Xalos has a really cool vibe. The space is super clean, nicely decorated, and well laid out with plenty of tables. Soft Mexican music played in the background, creating a chill and welcoming atmosphere. Easily one of the nicer fast-casual spots we visited in Anchorage.

As soon as I walked in I noticed the place was super clean and smells fresh hint of fabuloso which transported me to Saturday mornings at my grandmas house the smell of delicious spices filled the air.
