Susitna Brewing Company

I got the tuna bowl and for some reason this time it was smothered with wasabi sauce, so much so that with two bites my nose was rubbing and my stomach burning. The guy next to me at the bar ordered the same thing and was also taken back as it is not how anyone has previously experienced. He coughed it down saying he can’t waste an almost $30 meal. I however could not eat it and the waitress heard us talking and completely ignored the situation, did not check on any of us, and gave me a dirty look as she walked by. Super unprofessional. I was told the owner and their family were the ones sitting on the other side of us at the bar and this server was basically ignoring everyone else and solely engaging with them. After trivia was over and my friends asked for the bill she only then asked if I wanted a box for my basically untouched food. Frustrated I said no and I really don’t think this should be on the bill either which was met with a uhh from the waitress. Very disappointed as trivia night is supposed to be fun but ended up being a literally painful experience.

We have been a customer since they moved into the pizza space. We ate there a couple times each month and truly enjoyed the food and service. In the past two years at the new and expanded side the service has been spotty and the food is usually disappointing. We now go there once a year, hoping that it will get better. Tonight we tried again and both of us were disappointed with our experience. We arrived and stopped at the please wait to be seated sign. There was a young woman behind the desk who said nothing. There was a man talking to three women about 20 feet away in the walkway e who also said nothing. They walked by us a couple minutes later and still didn’t acknowledge our presence. I waived at the woman behind the counter and she looked at me and said nothing. I got the attention of one of the other women and gestured to her. She finally said “I see you there”. She came pst us mumbled follow me and off she went to the dining area. Our order was taken , drinks delivered and we waited. In about 25 minutes the French dip sandwiches were delivered. The sandwiches were less than warm, the cheese was coagulated and were dry. My onion rings were cool and my spouses fries were cool as well. The restaurant was not that busy, and about one third of the tables were not in use. This may be the last time we try eating here. We were both excited when the brewery opened, hoping for a nice place to go for Saturday night dinner but it has not been proven to be the case.

I used to enjoy this place very much. Until I was waiting over 17 minutes for someone to eventually ask me if I had been helped.

Great atmosphere.. good beer.. food was okay but definitely worth going there to enjoy the view and beer!

We tried the shrimp linguini tonight and it was amazing! Service was great, everything was just perfect!

Server and hostess were very rude. Tried to see our friend play music and have some food and beers but changed our minds after how we were treated

I had The Steak Potine w/ cheese curds... it was so Damn Delicious and the server was a Hoott! Loved the atmosphere and the many Chosess on Good Drink and Delicious Food.

Service was great! Food was edible and spongy while lacking any discernable flavor. 52°F in the restaurant. horrible dining temperature. xox I would say id give them another try but then id be lying.

Didn't get past the hostess who was a huge jerk to us so we left. Really wanted to see our friend play music. Why would I waste money at a place with crappy customer service.

Wonderful, dog-friendly place to visit with plenty of outdoor seating and an accommodating staff. Food was excellent, recommend the truffle burger or pizza!

To go order tonight, and the person who answered the phone was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and very professional and very welcoming

It's refreshing to have a kind voice on the other end of the phone it's not something you don't find at many places these day.

The experience was great! Food was fantastic, atmosphere was excellent and our Server was over the moon! If you are thinking about stopping by, DO IT!!! If you are in Anchorage and have some time to spend…this is soooooo worth the drive.
