Second best chicken fried rice I’ve ever tasted. Portion size was a little smaller than expected, but still very tasty.

This is the only fully equipped RV place in the area and the owners are very helpful. Nancy is always around serving really good food with her other half. We were going to camp but the weather didn’t agree. The owners offered a staff cabin for us due to the very rainy weather. It was at a very fair price too $75. Thank you for the yummy food and hospitality right near the glacier!
This is a small (25 +/- sites) RV Park next to a Cafe and gift store just off the highway. We were warmly greeted and assigned our site (FHU) - it was gravel off gravel access roads and was mostly level with convenient hookups that functioned properly. No cable tv, no OTA stations, and some chance for satellite reception - their included WiFi was good - always providing a signal that was useful. On a side note the “Milepost” suggested there is cell service available - we could not get a signal. Ordered a fish & chips dinner to go, and it was mostly good - nice batter cooked properly, but just a little more greasy than perfect. The fries and coleslaw were good.
Good food and ice cream and friendly atmosphere
Great little place, very kid friendly. Excellent bbq sandwich, definitely worth the stop after a glacier day.
This well-maintained RV park was a great overnight stopping point for us before going hiking on the Matanuska Glacier the next morning. Nice hiking trail with beautiful views right out of the RV park. The (clean) shower rooms could use some benches and/or hooks to set down clothes and toiletries. Sadly, the cafe was closed the night we stayed, or we would have loved to try it out. We enjoyed our stay!
We planned on staying one night but our truck broke down. Mark, the owner I believe, was so gracious to find us a spot to stay as he was booked up. It’s quiet and the views are gorgeous. They staff is wonderful as well. All so kind. They invited us to a bonfire and we made new friends. There are nice trails behind the park to hike too. I highly recommend this RV site.
This is a well maintained RV park with spacious sites. Friendly folks, a simple cafe. It was a pleasure to stay here out in the middle of this majestic scenery with few services. Our site had water and electricity. Dump station at the end of the property
This was a nice, clean, quiet RV Park. Not a lot of activities, but there is a short, easy walk to see Matunuska glacier from afar, and that connects to a moderate trail that takes you above the park and great views of sheep filled mountains. I highly recommend this park as a place to stay if you there to go on some of the more advanced hikes to the glacier, or as a 1-2 nite stay on your way to Valdez or McCarthy. The staff are great, and the restaurant has great sandwiches and breakfast. We didn’t try the pizza, but heard from other campers it’s really good. Not every site has a fire ring, so if that’s important, pay for a deluxe spot. Not every site has full hookups but there is free dumping for guests.
