This is a restaurant at a remote lodge in Alaska and there is really no where else to go. So my expectations were not particularly high. For dinner, the food was fine. Nothing special but not bad. Service is slow. Breakfast was more of the same. Food was ok but service was very slow. Seems like staff needs more training. There were servers walking around but seemed to avoid eye contact if you wanted water or coffee. Or anything. There were a couple of managers/hosts who could have easily helped fill up coffee cups or water glasses but they just stood around talking to each other. So at the end of the day it's really the only option but it's just ok.

Food was wonderful. Hubby had the Smoked Salmon chowder and the Salmon entree. I had crab cakes as an appetizer and mushroom ravioli. WOW. Everyone was so friendly, from the hostess to the table clearing staff.

Had the beef tenderloin dinner. Was looking forward to a nice baked potato, got mashed potatoes instead. The asparagus was served cold and very hard to chew. The steak was cooked perfectly. Somewhat on the pricey side for what you got. The meal should have included a salad and bread for the price I paid. The server was excellent.
