Had the beef tenderloin dinner. Was looking forward to a nice baked potato, got mashed potatoes instead. The asparagus was served cold and very hard to chew. The steak was cooked perfectly. Somewhat on the pricey side for what you got. The meal should have included a salad and bread for the price I paid. The server was excellent.

Limited menu. My chicken was very good, but my husband's prime rib was over done for what he had requested and had no flavor. Service was great, everyone was very nice. The brownie dessert was delicious and the view was great from the restaurant.
The dining area was fairly quiet, a large group of people had left before our reservation. We were patient but it was the longest wait just to get water and our orders taken..... the salmon appetizer was maybe 2 oz of salmon maximum, just wasn't the experience we were hoping for. Slow service, expensive meals.....but the lodge is pretty enough. Staff weren't necessarily the friendliest either.... We hate to say it but we didn't feel like we were in a welcoming space... we checked in a few minutes early and the hostess just point blank said come back at 6:45 - we had to ask if we were allowed to sit in a bar area - just felt like we annoyed her that we were there 15 minutes early (more like 10). We understood that she may not be able to seat us early, just thought we'd check in. We walked into the bar area and asked if we could sit outside since there wasn't any seating at the bar and were met with “get your drinks and go outside” from a server walking past us. We stopped in on another trip we were seated outside and received service outside... just was not the friendliest feeling. We felt like we were an inconvenience to their staff pretty much all evening.
The service was good, the food was not good, we had the prime rib, halibut chips and ceasers salad. only the mash potatoes were good. would not reccommend, however, there are no other resturaunts in the area without a 12 mile drive. just order a burger
The tenderloin and the vegetarian wellington, were very good. Also, they had reasonable prices for the kids menu and they enjoyed their dinner as well.
Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu!

While the selection was limited, we had the shrimp and spaghetti and prime rib which were ok. The appetizers were excellent. Staff was very accommodating. However the next day, breakfast buffet was awful; poor selection and food was cold and poor staff attitude, especially the hostess. Do not go to this place for breakfast!
There are not a lot of choices for the dinner menu, so you can also order from the “Bar” menu even if you're seated in the dining room. Also IMO, this fish in the Fish & Chips was way over cooked, but I didn't send it back. (I had it the night before) My wife had the 10 oz prime rib and it was just OK. She enjoyed the mashed potatoes more. I've had the Caboose a few times and it's always been fine. I would like to see more selection.
We sat down for 5:45 pm dinner. The salad was not served till 7 pm which was 75 minutes later. The main course Rockfish with rice pilaf. The rice was undone and raw, which need to cook for another 10+ minutes. I looks like someone who doesn't know how to cook rice properly
The restaurant management and process flow is at flaws, chaotic and unacceptable.
The chef servers should have a dry run before opening to manage the process flow and time management. We are stuck here for two days and have to put up with the terrible service.
I give no star for service, and only one star for chef for not knowing how to cook rice properly.

Food was very overpriced for what you get! No flavor to boot. The manager did give us a small discount and brought us a small bowl of complimentary Fireweed ice cream. So that was a nice gesture, but we still paid too much. The appetizer was $18, small and flavorless. My husband's Rock fish was more of an appetizer than a meal and no flavor. I fed him a PB&J when we got back to the room because he was still hungry. I had the prime rib, and it was better and larger, but still overpriced.
