The food was delicious and the staff are getting the guests cheerfully and make everybody feel at home. They go out their way to fulfill special wishes. Wooden chairs and tables and meaningful details in the interior design make the powder house a good place to eat.

Very friendly staff. Visitors should be aware that any restaurants in Cordova have much higher prices than most non-Alaskans are used to paying. This is not a failing of the individual establishments but a result of virtually zero percent of any supplies being locally available.

The menu was undergoing some changes when we were here which was a bit confusing, my husband and I were handed different menus with different options on them. The shrimp basket was good but they don't have a shrimp and fries basket option so we had to get fries separately, an extra $12 for a side of fries. The sweet potato waffle fries are amazing, super crispy and delicious. The regular french fries were just ok, they weren't very crispy. My husband enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger as well.
