Visited this past Sunday evening. Not terribly busy, was seated in about 15 minutes. Waitress brought our drinks fairly quickly, and we proceeded to order our food. When our chowders arrived, they were cold. Our meals seemed to be taking forever to arrive. During our wait, the crowd thinned quite a bit in the restaurant to not busy at all. 49th State Brewing - Denali Park is a fun and local brewery and restaurant located near Denali State Park and Denali National Park and Preserve. This restaurant offers a variety of burgers, fish, and other tasty entrees and appetizers in a rustic and heavily decorated interior. The outdoor area features fire pits and seating for evening gatherings, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Local lodges provide bussing to and from the brewery, making it easily accessible.
The restaurant is popular for its King Crabby Grilled Cheese, a generous sandwich filled with crab meat, grilled cheese, battered fries, and seafood chowder. The Alaska Wild King Salmon is another favorite. The buffalo meatloaf is a must. The Frontier Soda Flight and Adventurer Flight are great for those wanting to sample a variety of beers and sodas. The beer was fantastic. The food is better than anything we have had in Alaska and some of the best we've had in Alaska.
The service is generally friendly, with many customers appreciating the helpful servers. However, some recent reviews mention challenges with service speed and accuracy, with some dishes arriving late or incorrect. There can be a queue for a table and the place was busy.
