This was the last stop on our cruise and it was the most beautiful spot on the trip!
The crab house is a must and is the last place to get crab on your way out (if it is your last stop) Crab was awesome and a good price when compared to the other stops! Wish we spent more time in Hoonah!

Don’t waste your time. $50 per cluster of snow crab, no sides, and it was NOT fresh.

We tried the dungeness and snow crab. Within a minute of us ordering our food was ready. It was beautiful to look at but the food was obviously sitting out for quite a while. it was cold and all the meat was unfortunately stuck to the inside of the shells. The drink was a fun idea, and had the best crab out of the bunch funny enough.

Busy with all of the cruise ship tourists.
Food is decent, not great, mass produced tourist food.
Quality medium, over priced.
Paid $30 for two bowls of chowder and side rice.
Paid $10 for a beer.

This was the least expensive place to get King Crab legs during my entire 12-day Alaska trip. Four (4) King crab legs were $130 (two orders). If you want the most crab for your dollar, specify that you do NOT want claw(s).
Claws weigh more, and are harder to get into. Not worth it, IMO.
The crab was spectacular, and worth the 10+ year wait between having King Crab.
Skip the Dungeness crab, it was nowhere near as good and 20x harder to get into. I think that these crabs exist only for people who have never had a Dungeness crab before. Stick with Snow and King.
No side dishes are available, only drinks and crab.

Nice place, good offering, just the utensils being plastic and asked to return, doesnt encourage to break a crab leg well. With the good revenue generated a proper metal crackers is needed. Staff is amazing.

Had a phenomenal Alaska Crabby Bloody Mary here
Such a beautiful restaurant. Family had mixed reviews—some really liked the crab. The smoked salmon chowder was rich, good—maybe a bit salty.

Well- we were all looking forward to having crab on our vacation. We talked to the workers about the difference in crab. She said told us that they king crab were small so you get more. We order and within minutes our crab came out FREEZING! The crab had no taste at all. The lemon and the butter doesn’t help at all. The king crab was small and shafted being told we would get more it came out with one medium size leg and a mini leg. We went back and asked about since it was expensive and the older lady behind the counter just looked at us never greeted us and when we asked if the king crab die to what the cashier said to us she rudely said okay… then proceeded to say they don’t have a scale so if the “chef” thinks it doesn’t LOOK like enough then she will put more on the plate then she rudely took it out of our hands and said she will bring us a new one. We waited to ensure they wouldn’t mess with anything. The staff were all talking and looking at us and then they pulled out a scale that she didn’t have…. The “chef” pulled out the crab and then started weighing it and ensured she again gave the small legs with a smirk on her face. If you call a “chef” just opening up the oven and pulling it out then that’s your girl. The staff were rude, not friendly, didn’t even attempt to make anything right. And the food was cold. Definitely not worth the money or the walk up.

Our food was delicious! We tried the dungeons crab, chowder, and the crazy Bloody Mary.
The restaurant was packed. We sat at the bar. They had two bartenders and proudly could use one more. The bartender that helped us was not very friendly. She smiled when inquiring whether we wanted to leave a cash tip or not.

We had a quick lunch at this Restaurant just after an Excursion and had the Dungeness Crab legs. Very disappointed it was frozen crab cooked in hot pot, it had shrunk so hard we nearly had to eat the shells. Also had a bit of a funny smell about them. Try something else if you visit.

Visited here off my cruise and wanted crabs for dinner. Went in to order and staff wasn’t welcoming. Ordered snow crab legs and received it pretty quickly. It was already warm to almost cold, not hot and fresh out the boil. It was already cold after getting to my second leg. It was not smooth to get the meat out the legs either. No clamp to even crack the claw… The only things I can say that was good was it did taste fresh and large crab legs.
