We used the campground twice. Not full hookups or any frills, just electric on grass sites and can be muddy. Cafe and restaurant aren’t open during the week. Campground is right on the water and Hope Creek is overflowing with salmon. It’s a beautiful spot, idyllic but just don’t come here expecting a full service rv park. It’s very busy on the weekends. We would definitely come back. We didn’t eat here, so no input as to whether the food is any good. Owner and staff seemed friendly while checking in. Boat loads of dogs roaming around.

Campground was U$80 per night with no staff, washrooms or showers (only electricity). Cafe was closed besides the weekend. A real disappointment! We were here in 2016 and returned because it was so much fun. Unfortunately the new owners only focussed on a massive price hike.

Stayed in the RV park at the end of the road at Turnagain Arm. Lovely town. Cute shops. Fishing …meh.

The views and location are amazing but that’s about it. For $80 a night you would at least expect a host and water and a picnic table at your site. Preferably also showers and toilets. There are only a few porta potties on the campground and 2 outhouses just outside the campground. And the cafe looks permanently closed, no opening times posted. There is a food truck but according to the sign that’s only open on the weekends. Not surprised there are only 5 spots occupied.

If they can take camping reservations vis website at any time, they should be able to post hours and days open on google maps.

What a special place to be on a Friday summer evening.

Beautiful location. Wonderful live bluegrass. Super kind staff. Strawberry rhubarb pie to die for. Add a scoop of ice cream
And a few beers and you’ve had yourself a magical night.

The campground has beautiful views. A momma and baby moose walked right by! Sites are a little tight but fine. Based on other reviews, I thought there would be wifi and drinking water included, but no. There weren’t any dumpsters or showers or picnic tables, either. No campfires are allowed, even though they try to sell you bundles of firewood when booking online. The portapotties and public outhouses ran out of TP.
There is a walk-up restaurant nearby. Cell service was fine but not strong enough to run a hotspot. The cafe and bar were closed “for inventory” while we were there, with no advanced warning. Maybe they would have had water and wifi if they had been open.

Cannot rely on making a reservation for camping. There is no check in process, campground host, or support. We showed up and somebody had taken our RV site that we reserved. The people that had taken our spot were not there so we couldn’t ask them to move. The cafe was closed and there was nobody that answered the phone when we called. We ended up having to drive back home because all other accommodations in Hope were booked for the night. They should make it FCFS with the way it is operated

My favorite bar in Alaska has a 100/10 true Alaskan atmosphere, live music, and good drink deals. Come Friday and stay at the campground over the weekend for an authentic experience.

This is a magical place. Raina is a kind and considerate host. The glamping accommodations are comfortable. I highly recommend visiting this special corner of Alaska.

The campground needs work. Several camper sites on the perimeter have huge dips casing them to be flooded when it rains, same with the road way in the camp ground. And the camp sites are smaller now than they were with previous owners. No bar anymore. Cafe closed. All in line check in. Been coming to fish with my family every year for ten years. Overall pretty disappointing. The live music was good and a welcome bright spot.

A beautiful hidden gem. The best atmosphere you could wish for. Nestled in the small scenic town of Hope, this is a place for dancing, laughs, and fun memories.
