Turnagain Kayak Adventure Center

The area is beautiful and full of history—during the gold rush, explorers discovered these once-isolated places. I highly recommend stopping by Turnagain Kayak Adventure Center + Bakery. Their bakery and coffee are truly amazing—the baker is so talented, it’s a must-try!

An unexpected Gluten Free treat that was delicious.
Made a quick detour with time to kill heading to Anchorage to fly back home.
The village of Hope is worth them 15 mile detour.

My husband and I come to hope one weekend out of the month every summer. Every year, I count down the days until I get to have turnagain kayaks coffeehouse’s baked goods. Even now, I’m writing this review just to pass the time until they open in 27mins. Healthy obsession? I think, yes!
I particularly crave their butter biscuit sausage breakfast sandwich. You can tell the owner/baker literally puts love in as an ingredient. Truly anything you eat from here will feed your soul.
Their drinks are also delicious! To top the wonderful food and drink, you get excellent customer service, they are all so kind and welcoming.
If you’re in Hope, I highly recommend stopping by!

Don’t miss this if you’re in the area. Truly delicious Latte, excellent coffee flavour and smooooth! (….& that was with 1% milk). My wife thought the same. Most blueberries I’ve ever had in a muffin too! My wife enjoyed her chocolate chip cookie too. R & G from Victoria BC

Excellent spot for breakfast! Delicious homemade biscuits and baked goods and their smoothies are so good! Wonderful coffee and the owner along with her team are all incredibly friendly. Woodsy, quiet, quaint atmosphere. Such a delight! Highly recommend.

Turnagain Kayak & Coffee House was our go to for breakfast and coffee the morning of our daughter's wedding and they did not disappoint! Jess was great to work with and let us place our order the day before so we could pick it up the morning of the wedding. Everything was hot and fresh when we arrived and their timely preparation helped us stick to a tight schedule on such a busy, special day! Absolutely a must stop while in Hope!

The most incredible muffins!!! Very well crafted coffee, great customer service & and nice variety of menu options including delicious house made biscuits.

This is the best coffee and breakfast sandwiches we have had in all of Alaska. Well roasted and brewed beans, outstanding biscuits, top notch friendly staff. We will be coming back and so should you! Hours on Google are incorrect but the photo included is accurate as of 7/3/24

Great soy latte and their special was an egg cheese and sausage on a biscuit. SO good!

They have espresso, a lot of milks (soy, almond, oat, coconut) and lots of flavors. Smoothies and sandwiches too!

Thank you so much! Best customer service award goes to Jess. She saw us pull up at 6:45 am on Monday looking for coffee and we saw they don’t open till 8am. Jess came out and saw us and turned everything on and had banana bread for the kids and coffee for us an hour and 15 min before she was supposed to open. Thank you so much! Will definitely return again!
