Best Musubi I ever had! Huge portions, fresh, delicious! Better than some poke spots I’ve been to in HI.

Visiting from out of town and our first time at a poke shop as I don't eat fish. Encouraging the kids to try something new, I put on my big girl pants and prepared to grimace through lunch. My husband asked me what are we doing here? You don't like fish?!
Once we were warmly greeted and I mentioned it was our first time, the young person behind the counter had one question - anyone not like fish? My hand shot up, as did my very picky kids hand. My middle kid said they didnt want fish, and Watermelon Poke and Spam Masubi were suggested. Knowing that kid likes spam and sushi, I figured that was a safe bet. My older kid had the Pele Bowl and my husband had the special Blackened Halibut Cheeks.
The service was excellent and personalized even as a line grew behind us. The owner/chef brought my picky kid a bowl of watermelon when they weren't a fan of the poke bowl. Normally, the smell of fish is enough to have my throat start to close and I turn around and leave a restaurant, but this place smells like clean ocean. That freshness was apparent in the food, my husband actually did a little happy dance while eating. Definitely keeping Kamakani Kitchen in mind when we're in the area! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience ❤️

In an area with underwhelming food options it's great to have this local gem. Kamakani would get 5 stars regardless of where it's located. Authentic fresh tasting food that never lets us down. Our favorite place on the Peninsula.

Believe the hype. Even with all the rave reviews, this place exceeded my expectations. I kept forgetting to catch them open and would always tell myself afterwards “how good could it be?” Tell you what: in future whenever I am in Kenai on Friday or Saturday I will eat there. Period. The end. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Yum!

The owner-Rhi was so welcoming and attentive. We had our 1 year old daughter with us and she brought out a high chair and a little watermelon poke bowl for her free of charge.
This was hands down the best meal we had while in Kenai. We will definitely be back and sending family this way!

My husband and I recently checked out Kamakani Kitchen, and wow, it was amazing! The food was delicious and packed with authentic Hawaiian flavors. They were super accommodating with food allergies, which I really appreciated. The staff and the owner were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Even if there’s a bit of a wait, trust me, it’s totally worth it for the food. I’d give it a solid 10/10! If you’re in the mood for some Hawaiian goodness, definitely hit up Kamakani Kitchen!
As a Kanaka from Maui, I just HAD to come check em out to see if they're as authentic as people say...and boy oh boy, talk about BROKE DA MOUT! Got the Tako Poke today and it was mean. Everyone there was kind and the environment has that laid back island feel, that I miss so much. Thank you ladies! Will be back for sure! 🤙🏾

Everything I've had has been wonderful here. I don't eat out often but when I do I treat myself here. Staff is friendly, food is tasty, and the owner has a passion for what she does. There is a little bit of a wait time but it's a small price to pay in my opinion.

This place has AMAZING dishes. I have loved every one of them I have tried. Chef Rhiannon creates mouth-watering creations using locally sourced ingredients, no sugar, and a variety of other healthy options! Looking for something different don't pass up this option!
