Always great service at Louie’s!!! Really the best restaurant staff I’ve experienced in the Kenai-Soldotna area. Even with a packed house the service is great and the kitchen is on point producing great food in a timely manner. 10/10 recommend them for breakfast, lunch or dinner!💙💚
Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing from start to finish. The first waitress we encountered was extremely rude and unaccommodating. She seated our group at a table far too small for our size, and when we politely asked to move to a larger area (where another group was finishing up), she told us we’d have to wait in the cramped lobby—an impossible solution given the size of our group. Thankfully, another waitress stepped in to help. She had short brown hair, though we didn’t catch her name, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Her kindness and excellent service were the only redeeming parts of the visit, even though part of our group’s order never arrived, leaving some of us hungry. We understand it was a busy day, but the overall experience didn’t justify the absurdly high prices. The atmosphere felt outdated, and the food was very ordinary—nothing special for what we paid. If it weren’t for the second waitress, we would have walked out before even ordering. She truly deserves to work somewhere better. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.
Chowder was good, very thick. Fish and chips was dry, no flavor. Beef stroganoff was watery with tough meat. Spent over $100/person! Beer was good.

Neat spot to eat in Kenai. Our table of 6 loved our meals and we had plenty of left overs to take for lunch the next day. I’d recommend sharing if you don’t want to take left overs home. Great spot!

Finally, after 30 years, found a really good restaurant in Kenai/Soldotna. Well, we had time to look and there were no coho salmon there.

For over 25 years I’d eat here 20-30 times a year. Laurie and the breakfast was awesome. One of my favorite things ever was their chowder, I’d stop on my way home from work Ann’s have it and some sourdough bread for lunch/dinner depending on the time.
The chowder has changed and is nothing near the same. The last prime rib I got I sent back twice and the little guy that was the manager was pretty rude.
I get the big price increases, but the food quantity has fallen a lot. Service & ambience are excellent (other than the little guys endless babbling). Sad to see
