If you’re in Ketchikan, don’t miss the Arctic Bar! We popped in while on a cruise, and it was a blast.
The vibe is super chill and welcoming, with just the right touch of local charm. The drinks were great, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Plus, you can’t beat the view! We enjoyed it so much, we hope to be back.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to soak up some Alaskan spirit with a drink in hand!

Home of the humping polar bears :) and turns out an excellent beer selection to boot! There were four IPAs on tap, and even a sour for some of our friends. Part of the gang grabbed burgers from across the street and were allowed to bring those meals into the Arctic to enjoy with their beers. The deck is an excellent way to take in the waterfront view—try to grab a table for sunset and you won’t be disappointed…tho it begins getting cold after that sun disappears!

My girlfriend in the earliest 1980's gave me her Arctic Bar ball cap, red, foamy, a single bear, Arctic Bar Ketchican, AK on it. I lost it in Seattle in the mid 1980's. Sure would like to replace it.

Just walked in as a tourist today. Had one of the top three bloody Marie's we have ever had. Barkeep was awesome and welcoming.

A really nice bar that serves various drafts including a local Alaska brewed IPA for $3.50! There are jukeboxes and pool tables to play around with! The bartender was really friendly! Its just unfortunate there is no food on hand to order as apparently there is no kitchen... Local businesses around the building, such as the one across the street can deliver the orders to the bar directly, no app or surcharge needed. There is also a nice deck outside to look at your cruise ship in front!
