To close out our excursion in Ketchikan, we wanted to have dinner but not have to rush to get back to our ship. Bar Harbor Ale House was literally beside our ship so we figured a dinner here would probably not jeapordize our return! We had a rough start to getting a table though to be fair to this restaurant, there was 16 of us ranging from a 1 year old all the way to adults as 3 families and considering the size of this restaurant, they aren't used to accommodating groups of this nature. Thankfully they have a covered patio with some heat lamps which we rearranged (ourselves?) to make enough room for us all. The older kids had their own table around the corner which wasn't ideal, but it worked though management wasn't too thrilled with us initially. Then we started to order food and beverages and I think they realized they were making a killing off of us and suddenly we had all sorts of good attention from any and everyone that worked at this restaurant. Jokes aside, we did have a lovely server who really worked hard to make sure we were well taken care of and we all thought she did an amazing job.The happiest moment was realizing that they had BBQ'd chicken with Alabama White Sauce on the menu. Something I had in Alabama and LOVED. It came paired with mac n' cheese, one of my faves as well. We talked and enjoyed some family time on our last stop before heading back to Vancouver. Overall, the cruise was a lot of fun, but having some food made on land was extremely exciting as cruise food all starts to taste the same after awhile. Our order came and the white sauce did not disappoint! It took me back to my meal in Mobile, AB and I was so happy to have this again. The rest of the diners were happy with their food and although I have a strong aversion to seafood, I at least had to say I tried salmon in Alaska which I did, and didn't enjoy. It really is fishy no matter how much it apparently isn't, haha!We settled the bill and our kids were excited to have a wolf approach us at the table just as we were getting up to leave. He was tame, but we didn't want to take any chances so we left with all kids in tow!Final fun moment was using the restroom. Best sign ever above the toilet. Go and find out. That's all I'm sayin!

Food was good but not great. Not happy about being charged $2.00 for one ounce of bbq sauce, especially since my order was messed up to begin with. Had the server told me there would be an additional charge I may not have asked for it.

Located at the cruise ship terminal. Serves both food and drinks, has both inside and outside table service. A nice place if you get back to the ship early and would like a drink before you board.

Extremely slow service and marginal food…obviously they cater to the cruise ship industry however the pulled pork sandwich was dry, the bun inadequate and the sides less than enticing. Not certain if this was do to tourist season winding down but clearly they are understaffed with less than focused servers. Pulled pork sandwich was $20 but the pork was barely pulled, salad was the highlight of the experience and cucumber salad was dry and uneventful- Servers never came back to check if all was okay, table of 6 beside us that arrived 10 minutes after us were provided with drinks first and needed to send out an expedition team to locate staff to obtain the bill- You guys could kill it but clearly are focused on cool decor rather than true bbq Sadly underwhelmed as hoped it would be good

Went in recently while on vacation, not knowing really where to go and what to experience we were lucky enough to have Josh as are bartender and server. He made our whole trip easier telling us all the great spots to see, what fish are being caught this time of the year, and even a few bear stories!!! The food was delicious, definitely worth the stop!

Tried it. Never got served alcohol. We ordered some beers as soon as we sat down along with ordering food. Food was delivered and they also delivered wrong beers twice. We finished our food and then the wrong beers were delivered a third time. Then they said they didn't have the right beers to put together their fixed flight that was on the menu. You can't make your own flight so we had to order the one they could not deliver on 45 minutes later from ordering. So we left without drinking any beers because they were incompetent.

Great service, and the salad that came with our meal was great. But we all ordered the fried cod dinner, and we each received big metal tray adorned with one small piece of dry fish. Terrible presentation, not a good dish. The collard greens were good (and plentiful), but the main course was so disappointing that the great salad and plentiful greens didn't compensate. Too bad, as they used to be a dependably decent place to dine. Those days are done.

The music sucked. I know that because we had to listen to it waiting for our meals. My husband got his meal first. I got my meal at least a half hour later and I’m being nice by saying a half hour. I didn’t like that I couldn’t choose my own beer for the ever flights. They were preselected by them. The beer they selected sucked , no surprise. I do not recommend.

Review is only for the drinks as their kitchen was closed when we went here. The bartender was friendly and knew his stuff! We had one of the whiskey flights (all were good) as well as some beer! We had the Brokentooth Apple, Bawden Street Mark 5, Gummi Bear Trippel and all were pretty solid. Very close to the cruise ship so all we had to do was drink until we had to hop back on!

Stopped here while in Ketchikan for a few local beers. The food was outstanding! Definitely try the fried cauliflower! Riley was an awesome waitress! The views outside were fantastic too. Check this place out for some great food and even better beers!Vegetarian options: The cauliflower and hummus plate were awesome!

was disappointed came here specifically for the chowder which was mentioned multiple times on their website, they no longer had chowder, fish and chips was very oily, the burnt ends were decent. Service was great.
