Ordered a pizza and breads sticks for the first time. Was over half an hour late and both items were cold. Called to make a complaint, and they did nothing to make right with it

The Eagles Nest sits tucked behind Cape Fox Lodge, perched high above Ketchikan’s iconic Creek Street. Getting there is part adventure, part lesson. We took the tram up and walked down the wooden staircase trail after the meal, which turned out to be the better half of the experience. The tram itself was disorganized from the wait times to the less-than-helpful attendant, so if you’re able, skip it altogether and walk up.
Finding the restaurant can feel oddly unintuitive. There’s no direct entrance from inside the lodge and approaching from the front leaves you wondering if you’ve made a wrong turn. The trick is heading around the side of the building. Once inside, any confusion evaporates instantly.
The interior hits with surprise and confidence, an urban chic space that feels more city loft than mountain lodge. Step outside and the restaurant doubles down, offering sweeping views over downtown and Creek Street that easily steal a few moments of silence before the first sip or bite. Or if you spot whales breaching, as we did upon seating.
Thankfully, the food matches the buildup. The Neapolitan-style pizzas are the clear stars, with beautifully blistered leopard-spotted crusts and a gentle smokiness from the wood-fired oven. Freshness shows everywhere, especially in the tomato sauce, which tastes bright and alive rather than cooked down into submission. From the appetizers to the pizzas to the cocktails, everything felt thoughtful and well executed.
Eagles Nest is the kind of place that rewards curiosity. Once you find it, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something special. A true hidden gem in Ketchikan, and absolutely worth going out of your way to visit.

Went here on a double date for my birthday, and both me and my friends got fully burnt pizzas. We were the only customers there. I don’t get how they burnt our food so bad and had the audacity to serve it but they did.

Food is great and the view is awesome. I understand finding quality employees is difficult in rural Alaska but hiring anyone with a pulse is not gonna keep your business running.
First off our server said the place was “preferring cash” so we asked why, maybe if their card system was down. He said it was operating normally and they simply prefer cash. Was the first time hearing this from any server here and he said it very unprofessionally. The beer menu is inaccurate to what they have (Heineken instead of Stella, lot of missing beers, etc.) My friend was served a beer with the bottle cap still on. I know this is illegal in Alaska. All alcohol needs to be served unsealed. Sure it’s a dumb law but it means they likely are not going through the state training for serving which again, is very unprofessional. Another server took over our table and the rest was fine until the original one came back for the bill. He again said something along the line of “sooo we’re doing cash right??”
I really want this place to succeed but there is a lot to be desired service wise. The food is great- cooks, great job. Keep doing what you’re doing.
The first time I came here our server Spencer was awesome so I know yall can do it 🙏

We stopped in for dinner one night during our week in Ketchikan and it was phenomenal! We all had the different pizzas, along with the artichoke dips and it was all DELICIOUS, along with Moscow mules! I would definitely return if in the area.

The view is pretty but the staff is VERY rude. Honestly their disgruntled and unkind attitudes were so disappointing. As a tour guide in the area, I will no longer be recommending this restaurant or hotel.

Great meal with a view, if you don't mind a lot of stairs/incline to get there.

Just left Ketchikan on Celebrity Edge. Researched this place before coming out. So it was a must do and wasn't disappointed. It's an uphill hike but well worn it. Asked our server for his best choice out of three options. Went with his choice of Eagle Supreme. Very nice view for pictures. Witnessed Water Landing Aircraft fly by and take off. A bald eagle and could see and hear a little bit of the Lumberjack show. Check it out If you can squeeze it in on your Port Day.

I used to bring guest for pizza, beer and the atmosphere. Today, we came up to have beers. There were only 4 tables with people. After a group of 5 cashed out and left; I moved to their table to get out of the sun. I literally waited 15 min for my friends to arrive and even then I had to ask could they bus the table and take a drink order. The waiter told me he wasn’t sure I was done. Seriously … you cashed them out and they left. But let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. One person sitting at a table of dirty plates and it never occurred to you to bus the table? This is the third time in a row that the service has been horrible. The pizza has been either great or awful. As a local I will not bring friends again.

We hiked up here from one of the cruise ships in town in an attempt to avoid the crowds during July 4th. Great view of the harbor from the deck, great food, ice cold pint of beer. Couldn't ask for more. Definitely worth the climb up.
