Horrible service, couldn’t say the food is great either. I ordered a pizza over a month ago, called in several times to get my return for pizza that had hair in it and still have not received the return. This is all after her making me bring the pizza back down to her restaurant to make sure we didn’t eat the pizza with hair in it.
Not a scammer. Just a kodiak local who like good service and good food.

Owners are rude and scammy. Have had my food pulled from the trash before and lots of hair. If you complain they scream and yell at you over charge you and lie. They also treat there employees and renting Tennants horribly. The owner refuses to take responsibility and harasses patrons.

Nation did a great job taking care of us, and the food was absolutely excellent!!! Ambience was admittedly not the best, but the food was perfectly cooked. Like actually perfectly done halibut. And the roast vegetables were some of the best I've ever had. 10/10 would go again.

I came 3 times while visiting Kodiak. I heard many poor things about the service from
Family & friends who live here, but wanted to give it a try because the menu looked good. It is very extensive with a huge variety of options (including vegetarian).
I had not seen more than one server on any visit, so they always had their hands full doing many different things. Every time it took at least 5 minutes to receive a menu and another 10 to be greeted for drink orders.
The breakfast was good, nothing special but considering there aren't a lot of breakfast options on Kodiak it was nice, although they don't open until 11. Because the server was so busy, even with only 3 tables, it took around 10 minutes for her to come back to our table after receiving our food. This was frustrating as we needed additional items in order to start eating. She was very nice, but we were not her focus.
The next visit, Nation was our server and he was exceptional. Very friendly, polite, helpful, and knowledgeable.
They were out of a LOT of items. They said the jet was late with ingredients, was understandable, but with that many items missing it would have been nice if they provided a list so we knew what we were able to order. A few items he wasn't aware that they were out of until at least 10 minutes after placing our order. And it wasn't busy so running out wasn't the issue, just lack of communication to the servers. For ex, he told us they were out of onion rings but another table was told by someone else that they did have onion rings.
The gyro platter was delicious & a very large portion that I ate as a meal. They were out of turkey for the turkey panini, but replaced it with roast beef which was very good. The side salads were pretty large & tasty for a side, although the menu did not specify what all came with it, so we all had to pick out the ingredients we didn't want. (Olives don't normally come on a side salad so this would have been helpful to know).
The Chicken Parmesan didn't have much sauce, but the bread was very good. Unfortunately Nation's shift was over after receiving our food (he kindly let us know & introduced us to our new server) but the next male server did not ever come to our table & after waiting 20 minutes we had to go up to the bar to ask to pay & leave.
We came in later that evening after seeing the dessert menu that looked really good. There were many items on the menu & many more on the large chalkboard display. After waiting 15 minutes for the menu & the server to come back to take our order, we found out that the chalkboard menu is not accurate and they were out of everything besides vanilla ice cream and Greek donuts. Unsure if this was due to the plane delay, but our server said they don't even serve the items on the board anymore & that she should probably take that down. This was another frustrating thing to hear after waiting so long to be greeted, told they don't have any dessert & have been knowingly misleading their customers with an incorrect menu. We left, because we really wanted the brownie and crepes.
It is understandable that the food is pretty pricey, considering everything has to be flown in, but some items were unreasonable. Like $30 "gourmet" mac & cheese that had nothing except for pasta and cheese.
Overall the food is excellent but the way the business is run is not. Understaffing, overworking employees, not being transparent or updating menus, outdated furniture with uncomfortable booths sagging into the wood, & lack of communication don't make up for the food quality. On top of that, the way the business owner responds to poor reviews & blames everyone except herself for her customer's complaints, is a huge red flag. I hate to support unreasonable, immature, and unaccountable business owners. Unfortunately, my friends and family who no longer eat here were valid in their rea

Very good food. Good space and great service. You feel at home. Nice mix of Alaskan food with Mediterranean touches. Very well located. Out of three days, we had dinner there two times and we don't usually repeat.

Aquamarine was the first place I went after my long day of traveling to Kodiak. My food was excellent and service was good. It’s a casual, cozy kind of place, and service was as expected for this vibe. Reasonable prices and wide selection.
