Showed up at 8:30pm, not even given a hello. Told they ‘were trying to close early’ after I had to ask if they were still serving. Hours on the menus are for restaurant state on menu 5-9:30pm. This is a hotel restaurant and bar, shutting down an hour early in peak season… common.

Typical hotel restaurant - with music on Friday nights. Food and music were just average, but the service was good. We had two waiters/waitresses serving us, but we did show up an hour before they closed. Cannot recommend anything particular on the menu, everything is average. The best part was all of the animal displays and decoration at the hotel entrance.

The menu is very appealing as they have a lot to offer. However my wife had the halibut tacos and I had the pesto salmon. Both were tasteless and cold to the point we sent everything back and went somewhere else for dinner. However, Madilla…not sure of the spelling, was an absolutely amazing server from the beginning. Even though the food was not good, she was very understanding and still had a great attitude. She rocks, the food does not

Genuinely confused why there are good reviews for this restaurant. There are very limited options in Kodiak to eat so the standards for fine dining are considerably low. The past times I’ve eaten here it’s been okay, fine given Kodiak standards. The last time I ate there will definitely be the last time. I felt like I wasted my money. Food looked microwaved and overpriced. Even my coke was flat. The waitress was so socially awkward, she made me uncomfortable. The only explanation for her behavior was recreational drug use. Don’t waste your money here.
