The Flying Flannigan was my favorite breakfast item, along with just about any of the freshly made baked goods. I’m not much of a coffee drinker but often found myself craving their hot chai tea latte and cozy atmosphere.

Fun, funky & really busy. Great food. Substantial serving size (get that to go container).

Delicious food in Kodiak. The fresh made chibada bread floats off your plate. Excellent dognuts.

Simply amazing. Excellent food. There are bags of free bread ends for the taking that my wife made french toast out of at home. Yummy all the way around.

First stop in Kodiak and will certainly be the last! The staff here are SO incredibly sweet, helpful, and enthusiastic about their job. Mariah welcomed us for our first visit and gave us the detailed run through of their daily fresh-baked items. Theodora talked us through so many fun flavor combinations for unique lattes. The staff here knew customers by name and spoke to each individual as if they were family. I could come here every day and not repeat coffee or food items for months! HIGHLY recommend Monk's Rock for coffee and a donut, breakfast, or lunch. Or all three because it is literally THAT good.

Monk's Rock is my happy place! The food is heavenly- truly soul food. This is a place where you're not just a customer, but you're family.

Five stars are not enough- family friendly options, tasty, friendly, stir the peanut butter mocha before drinking- the Russian tea is to die for- great ambiance- enjoy!

What a fun place! Very busy parking was hard to find. Great blueberry strudel!! Decor is awesome. Has a cute little gift shop. Actually observed a priest blessing someone. Very moving!! I’d go back many times!!!

Its places like the Monk's Rock that are the little gems you like to find on your travels. Excellent local shop for some gifts, coffee, lunch, and sometimes dinner. Donuts are fantastic. Super friendly staff. Make it a point to stop by!

High-quality food with flavor and not overwhelming. Breakfast for two with drinks was $40. Both good for sit-down service and take-out.

I was in a rush this morning and stopped by to see that I was too early, they didn't open until 8:30am. A friendly gentleman let me in and fed me anyways. There is good in this world and it can be found at Monk's. I can't wait to return during the normal operating hours so I can purchase all the coffee.Thank you for helping the stranger.
