The food here is delicious. We split the pancake stack and reindeer pot stack. The wait was not long, staff is very friendly and even checked on us during our meal to make sure everything was great-it was. Nuniaq is a great place to meet a friend for lunch or breakfast, and also just as good to take to go. They also have specials that they switch up!

Nuniaq is a small restaurant in Kodiak with very substantial fare. Specialities are seafood chowder in cup bowl or bread owl, salmon melt with fries, coconut prawn salad and flank steak sandwich. Service was very fast and the seasoning was great. Clearly a local hangout.

Tasty food with a cozy atmosphere. We ordered some burgers and the Sockeye Salmon melt. Everything was delicious! The portion sizes were generous too.
Our only complaint is a fault of our own. We wanted to eat at home, so the food wasn’t 100% fresh when we got home. It would have definitely been better to eat there (or right away). Not the restaurant’s fault. Just make sure you take advantage of the great flavors by eating it right away!
