This food is truly delicious. You can tell whoever created this menu genuinely cares about the products that they put out, everything seems made with love, and the end result is something any chef/restaurant owner should be proud of. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best lunch spots in all of Alaska. Fresh ingredients and the staff is very friendly.

Original review for transparency: Atrociously expensive food for a minuscule portion and severe lack of flavor. Yes the ingredients are fresh but if you have to pay 20$ for half a wrap that is 65% lettuce it just doesn’t make sense. I got a Thai chicken wrap that was dry with almost no peanut sauce. The chicken was cooked well but it’s almost entirely lettuce. The baked goods look yummy and priced reasonably. But I would avoid the wraps and salads unless you have money to just throw away.EDIT: Thank you Melissa for addressing my original review. I believe the $18ish for a full wrap is completely reasonable. When I was rung up I asked the two gals working, ‘is it $20 for only 1/2 a wrap?’ They said yes, that was the price and I said again’ Really?’ to confirm. Thus I confirmed twice with the staff that the price was correct for a 1/2 portion of food. Like I said before, the food is good I was just shocked by the price. And if they had given me the sauce with the wrap, obviously it wouldn’t have been dry.Everything has been addressed in a very professional and kind manner from Nuniaq.

Nuniaq is by far the most delicious food you can get in Kodiak between the times they’re open. Everything I’ve had I haven’t been disappointed with. And everytime I come in, the staff is so warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. Nuniaq is a special treat. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is due to food or sides being missing. Sometimes you order the bison chili online, and it says it comes with chips, but you pick it up and you only have the chili. Not a big deal, just unfortunate that you’re paying rather large prices to not get what you expect. Another is if they offer a choice of sides being fries or chips or whatever they’re offering, they sometimes won’t follow the special request of fries and will default with the chips.Again, this isn’t the biggest deal. Everyone makes mistakes. This only happens one in every 2 or 3 orders, and I could only guess it’s due to stock. And if it is, I would prefer to be called regarding it then paying 19 dollars for food without the side. I’m sure if I went back and asked them for it, they would correct it immediately. I have no doubt they would. But by the time I’m home I couldn’t care enough to drive back haha. All in all, delicious and staff is amazing. They work hard, which in turn makes the food amazing and the service absolutely excellent. I will always come back and order again and again.

This place is legit. If you go to Kodiak on Monday or Tuesday. Just know that most restaurant's are closed. Just an FYI! I was told by the locals that this restaurant is great so I decided to give them a try. I was leaving on Tuesday and I stopped by this restaurant and everyday they have a new menu. You will not eat the same thing twice. I had the steak burrito and it was filled up and other condiments or salsas. They are only open for lunch but lots of the locals order from from this restaurant. If you are in town, stop by and give them a chance. You will be glad that you did!

Haven’t had anything I haven’t liked! Love all the options and that there’s new additions almost daily. Really a great place.

Soooo happy we came here. Food quality was fresh and excellent. I had the fish tacos - corn tortillas, slaw, tortilla chips and salsa. the fish of the day was cod.My brother got their grilled sourdough sandwich with cod, a dill/cream cheese, and jalapeños in it. It was delicious! My one suggestion is that as tortilla chips came as the side to each main, please include a salsa with each side of chips.Their baked goods - huge cookies and 7 layer bars and ice cream sandwiches - all appeared handmade and delightful. Will have to get one next time.As of 2 August they are only doing to go food as it appears their dining room is under renovation.

Excellent seafood chowder. Smoked salmon wrap was excellent as well. Popcorn chicken was good, but the gravy seemed premade and the mashed potatoes were over cooked and bland. Biscuit was one of the best I’ve ever had, especially considering we’re not in the South. Counter service only. Nice ladies working.

I have tried to give this restaurant a chance multiple times and every time it is extremely underwhelming. The salmon had a dozen bones in it, I attempted to reach out to the restaurant via Facebook, what they use to promote themselves, and got no response. Half of the menu items come with "chips and salsa" and I have not gotten the salsa in the past 3/6 items. They do use great verbiage and photos to promote their food, I will give them that. however, it is so severely under seasoned...
