This is about as rural Alaska as you can get. Nothing fancy and gourmet. Just plain old food. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The restaurant is just dull but the food is ok. If you are hungry then you can eat but do not expect anything special.

The Polar Cafe was my favorite place to eat while I was in Nome. Their Breakfasts were plentiful and of a good variety. Their dinner Entrees included freshly caught King Crab. Entrees were also tasty and of good variety. Prices were reasonable by Northern Alaska Standards., The view of the frozen Bay from the windows couldn’t be beat.
