Had dinner here for our last night in Fairbanks. The food is tasty and the portions are large, but the service was lacking. Our brunette server did not check on us until we were about done with our meal, she also proceeded to argue with us about a dish swap. I swapped sweet and sour pork for sweet and sour chicken, which she said is doable, but I ended up with pork in my combo. I informed her of this and she swore up and down it was chicken…. It was not. She charged us anyway. The PORK was also mostly uncooked batter. She also gave weird looks and pulled faces when we ordered a medium well steak. She was very rude and made the experience poor. Would visit again, but would hopefully be served by someone else!

First off most of the service was excellent, but they charged us the wrong persons check and I only caught it when we went to write in the tip because the bill they gave us at the beginning had the correct price. The food was mostly great and something I would get again, but the bbq pork was very dry and we only ate a couple bites.

Yeah, no.
The restaurant was lovely. The atmosphere was fun. The wait staff was nice. The food was not good.
It seemed like the various sauces (my friend got orange chicken and I got kung pao) came from a can, or maybe bottles from Costco? I will say, my meal had a lot of fresh veg, and the portions were humongous.
Nothing authentic about this food. Over-salted, overly greasy, and not a single lick of spice, even in the chili oil.

Over all am average meal. Nothing special and way over priced oh because the glorious GUY FERARI. A non accredited chef came and said it was good. Its mediocre and over priced. Flat boring food. Make it yourself as easy as 20 minutes Vs. 20 dollars same time frame and no heat lamps to keep your rice warm.
be warned tourist. Shop your grocer and it's simple as youtube searches for recipes.

Ordered pick up and found out that their prices have changed and they said they won’t change the online menu. A meal that was supposed to cost me $60-70 ended up being $110. Never eating here again and recommend everyone else not to come here. Service and staff were rude and disrespectful. They also added a $22 side for no reason?!? When I ask for a recipe with what I ordered they refused to to give me one. It’s a shame that this is what became of pagoda……..

So we just moved here, and everyone kept raving and raving about this place, so we figured we would try it. This is possibly the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The prices are high but the plates are massive. Enough to feed a family with one plate. My husband got the sweet and sour chicken, and I got the pu pu platter. The meat on mine was tough, the pork was dry and the paper wrapped chicken looked so unappetizing I didn’t even try it. The egg rolls were burnt and flavorless. My husband’s chicken tasted like it had been fried in cake batter. The servers circle around like sharks, we were served by probably four different people. It was extremely over whelming. The only good thing really was the atmosphere, which was pretty and cozy. I don’t think we’ll be returning. If you think this is good Chinese I beg you to get out of this state to the lower 48 and get better food.

Ordered takeout for a birthday dinner. We've done this before in the past and it was never an issue. I ordered the ribeye as I've had it before. My fiance ordered the cashew shrimp. We also had 4 egg rolls and an order of crab rangoons. Like I said, I've ordered the ribeye before and it was never an issue. So checking the food upon heading back to Fairbanks didn't occur to us. But boy we should have. When the food got home we quickly dug in. The "ribeye" looked kinda off upon first inspection. Ribeyes, even choice, have a very distinct look and fat to it. It's my favorite cut so I've had quite a few. This had no distinct marbling. When it cut into it, it was tough. The meat itself was heavy. I've had plenty of cheap cuts of meat in my younger days. What they sent in the to go container was NOT ribeye. It was a slab of sirloin cut thick enough to try and pass off as ribeye. But I kept cutting into in disbelief, thinking, "They wouldn't do that, would they?" But the more I cut, the more I was certain what was sent in that to go container wasn't a ribeye. I'm not even a butcher and I know a ribeye when I see one. And when confronted through messenger, rather than identifying the problem and addressing it, they took a picture of their menu in front of a ribeye box. Terrible customer service if you ask me. I will never be back. And it sucks because I enjoyed their food.

Picked up takeout for a birthday. Ordered a ribeye, cashew shrimp, order of crab Rangoon, and 4 egg rolls. Ordered the ribeye medium rare. As you can see from the pictures it's medium rare. I drove from fairbanks out to NP back to fairbanks for this meal. Everything was fine except for the steak. When I first touched it, it felt tough. I cut into it and you can clearly see it doesn't have any of the marbling of a ribeye. Some of the meat even looks gray. I kept cutting into it and it looks nothing like a ribeye. I've ordered the same ribeye from this same place plenty over other times and whatever was cooked for me wasn't a ribeye. So naturally this being a birthday meal I reached out to pagoda via messenger. Their response was less than, not what I was expecting. I felt like they thought I was lying but what am I gaining from this? This was supposed to be a birthday meal. And I was served a cut of meat that looks identical to top sirloin. All they did was take a picture of their menu next to a box. We won't be going back.

Great food, and definitely generous portions. Hot and sour soup was very good and hot the spot. Tea at the table was also great. I had the "combo for one D". Mongolian beef the best I've had in a long time. My wife had the broccoli and chicken; also very good. Portions enough to feed us for the next few meals. We also had a hot saki which was very basic and not really notable, and a sparkling saki that turned out to be pretty good.

Servers and wait staff were very efficient and attentive. All around great experience.

Food was really good and the service outstanding! As a restaurant manager myself and a solo traveler I really value good service. The server, don’t remember her name (sorry ?), the girl with glasses, she was the kindest. Offered me some options of her liking, checked on me often and packed the hot tea to go for me. She even hugged me on my way out ?. Whenever I am back at Fairbanks I’ll make sure to pay a visit to Pagoda.

Probably the best bet for Chinese food in Fairbanks. It’s wild they skimp out on the vegetables, though. We got the shrimp trio with different and interesting flavors.
