There's not too much choice in Petersburg, and Helse looked like a good option. The staff were all really lovely, unfortunately alot of the cutlery on my table was dirty. The menu is a bit strange- lots of sandwiches, burgers etc along with quite a few oriental dishes. I ordered a Meatball sub which was met with great confusion, and the waitress said it was only on the dinner menu, but she'd make it anyway. I assume she'd misheard me as what I got was a meatloaf....
Not much to eat in Petersburg…… but this place surely makes up for not much to eat in Petersburg.. the women name Jennifer….. cooks and runs Helse Restaurant…. She’s does know cooking foods right.. warm cozy restaurant around the corner from kitos kave bar…open 6days a week 10:30am till 3pm closes on Sunday…. Best burger in town and home made soups special daily…. This place does it all… ice cream milk shake ect….
“Most Amazing Lunch This Trip” happened on our 20th wedding anniversary!🏆
🥣 Hearty homemade herb-roasted chicken noodle soup, and 1/2 Reuben made with sauerkraut and dressing from scratch.
🍔 Six whole jumbo shrimp arranged into a burger, seared with Panko, seasoned and grilled perfectly to a crisp and dressed with a homemade sauce on a soft sesame bun.
It’s apparent Jennifer’s heart is in her cooking, and that Michael enjoys interacting with his customers....
