Simple and delicious. We had a wonderful first experience. The sauces tasted authentic and were very flavorful. The highly recommend the Kung pao beef with the dinner add ons. The beef was tender and the sauce was perfectly spicy and delicious. The wonton soup was exceptional. The plum sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The service was efficient and they have Sunday hours, which is nice. They have specials from 4-7p, which are a great deal. If you haven’t tried this place I recommend you do. They also have burgers and American food options (mostly fried). We will be back! Cheers ?

I adore their sczechwan shrimp and fried wontons! They have a great selection of appetitzers and entres, both american and chinese. Slightly overpriced, but so is everyhting in this town. Fries and dishes involving halibut however are not up to par. Service was pretty rude to me when I was asking about a food I later found out they only make at festivals, but that's on me I suppose. It's a great place to stop after getting off the ferry (across the street).

We have gone to Joan Mei’s restaurant for several years. We have to eat there at least 2-3 times each time we visit Petersburg. Great food, nice people and a good menu. You won’t be disappointed if you try it..! We’ll go back again..!

We have still not found a really good restaurant in Petersburg and all are very high priced... but JOAN MEI (“Chinese-American”) is the BEST so far! Their lunch menu dishes were OKAY, but expensive...
