I love the knotty shop, we were in Fairbanks for work and I took a group of my work friends down! They have a beautiful area in the back with stuffed wild animals and their ice cream is delicious!!! Plenty of trinkets to bring home to family!

A very well located store ...next to the highway towards Denali - Fairbanks. Well stocked with thrifty and many other shopping stuff including clothes as well.. few eatables too.. It has very nice area dedicated to stuffed animals. It's called knotty store due to the Specific type of wood used for construction pillars which develop a kind of knot ... Owner is nice and warm.

We drove all the way from Fairbanks to Salcha for the ice cream and to look at the souvenirs.
My kids hadn’t been there in 4 years- and didn’t remember; so well worth the drive.

Unique novelty store with really cool gifts and awesome ice cream. It's definitely worth a stop in if your driving past Eielson toward Salcha!

It was my first time visiting and it was pretty fun. It's a touristy shop that sells a bunch of knickknacks from Alaska and they also have a great ice cream section in the building.

Fun stop. We bought a souvenir and walked around looking at all the burls. Of course we had to get some ice cream! The waffle cones were delicious as was the ice cream.
