UPDATE:
Can't find the button to post my second review, so I will just add to my original. Received another 10 lb box of sockeye salmon 10 minutes ago, still nicely frozen and very well vacuumed sealed. I now have 30 lbs in my freezer and about 1/3 I will smoke and freeze. Wendy did an outstanding job of taking care of my order and she also provides excellent customer support and service. The owners should take note of this for they have an excellent young lady working for them. I HIGHLY recommend buying your salmon here from Captain Jack's Seafood Locker.
We made a $760.00 purchase of sockeye salmon and halibut cheeks, (equating to 30 lbs of salmon and 2 lbs of halibut cheeks) the whole package arrived as promised, overnite UPS and everything was well packaged and still frozen. Their prices are exactly the same as a competitor, but their competitor only offered 2 business day or expedite for additional fee. The shipping from Captain Jack's was free. Their service is exceptional especially from Corrie and Wendy who I spoke to both several times. Excellent product, excellent pricing and service. Thank you and we will order some more before the years end.
Excellent packaging, quality insulated box for shipping/airport checked baggage, and easy to do business with. Flying it home with you is much cheaper than shipping it and Captain Jacks is the best option in the town of Seward!
They were flexible in how we wanted our fish packages to accommodate three anglers. They work with the local guides to make the cleaning and packaging super accommodating when you get back to the docks. They are friendly and make good experiences recommendations. The little store front is also nice and provides spice options for when you get home.
Get there to buy fish and amazed with their service. Large variety of raw fish to buy and other products.
We just received our frozen salmon that was prepared by Captain Jack's. I was very impressed with the way it was beautifully packed. Well worth the money we spent for packing and shipping.
We used Captain Jacks to process our fresh caught halibut. Filets were vacuum packed, frozen, placed in a styrofoam box, placed in a cardboard box. They provided information for cold storage at the Anchorage airport. We checked the box with our airplane luggage. Fish was still frozen solid when we arrived home.
They did a great job vacuum sealing all the salmon!
We had a charter which used Captain Jack's for processing. The lady that took our information was nice and the whole interaction was seemless and easy. They even processed quickly for the Alaskan residents. The poor stars was due to the shipment. It was supposed to be delivered Thursday, but was delivered a day early. This was problematic because I wasnt back home yet and it was 90 degrees out. I emailed them to keep my mind at ease if I could not get someone to receive the package, as I did not want to lose 25 pounds of freshly caught fish. They never responded. Luckily I was able to get someone to freeze it while I travelled back home. Not sure I would trust them with, essentially, 1000 dollars worth of fish again due to lack of communication. Also, they never told me the tracking number, luckily I had 'USPS informed delivery' that informed me that it was arriving a day early.
These guys are great! We brought some Salmon that we had caught in Lake Clark, they kept them frozen for us while we spent a few days in Seward and fished. When we finished fishing, they boxed our catch evenly between 4 people and merged the Salmon into the boxes. We each left with a 50 lb box of Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod and Yelloweye.
We were fishing in Seward last Friday (8/23). Our filleted catch literally came in a plastic bag and we brought it straight to Captain Jack’s for processing. Within 3 hours, they weighed, vacuum sealed, flash frozen, and packed our fish with ice gels in an airline approved insulated box so we could check it in as a luggage on our flight.
For price references, a 15-lb insulated box is $19, vacuum sealing + freeze is $1.70 each bag (they can sometimes fit more fillets in a bag), 1 ice gel is $2 — for 7lbs of fish we paid $42 to pack + $35 check in luggage fee. Note that these are prices as of Aug 2024 and may later change. This was the cheapest and best option in our opinion! ?
I must say Sidney and the other lady with her at the counter were the nicest, accommodating and very helpful! They acted with a sense of urgency to make it work in 3 hours and enabled us to catch our flight. We also bought frozen halibut from their store and we added it in our box. I highly recommend their service if you’re fishing in Seward. ??
Best salmon ever! Found Captain Jack’s on a trip to Seward Alaska and have been shipping fresh fish from there ever since. Great customer service and their products are amazing!!

Just got back from a fishing trip in Seward and our frozen, packed, sealed fish arrived 2 days later. On time. Very pleased with the service and experience with Captain Jack's!
Awesome place, I came in to fish seaward pretty late in the season for silvers not knowing all local processors were closed. However when I called the lady at the front let me know she was able to take care of it. They easily vacuum sealed and froze over 100lbs of fish. 10/10 I would highly recommend

YES I would!!! Reputable company who stands behind their product.
The women working there was incredibly nice and helpful and I didn’t feel like they were trying to gouge me on prices. Will definitely use them again.
