The Caribou Meatloaf was of the hook. The gravy was amazing. The Alaskan Halibut Baked Lobster Bisque was teen better. Chocolatecakefir dessert and excellent company mad this The best meal I've had in recent memory

Awful experience. Each plate was not as described on the menu and none of the food was locally sourced… They were completely understaffed. If I could rate this a negative star I would.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, service and the crab cakes and clam chowder were excellent. Very disappointed with the frozen bland green beans and cold rice. Seems this has been a complaint for a while that needs to be addressed.

Food was good But I got to the bottom of my bowl & realized there was a big crack in the bowl. The crack was deep enough that the sauce was oozing out the bottom. I thought there should have been some concern about food safety but the waitress said the manager said because I ate most of dish it wasn't an issue. I was disappointed the manager didn't come out & speak with us.

The staff was friendly. Food was served room temp to cold and was bland. Small piece of halibut with frozen green beans. Thought the meal was priced high for the small piece of halibut that was served. Expected higher quality food for the price.

This restaurant was good! The view was spectacular. Our waitress was great and told us about the customer favorites. The crab cakes and fish & chips were a hit.

Food was the worst. Old dried out crab, over cooked no-crab crab cakes, gamey-tasting rockfish and cold fries that had sat out for hours or days. So so bad. Wait staff was friendly but served cold old fries with a clear conscience? Other families felt the same and we saved 5 strangers in the wait list line from the perils when leaving. Tiny fish portions . Super expensive - which would be great with that awesome view if the food was at least mediocre. Go anywhere else in Seward.

Right inthe small boat harbor in Seward. It has large windows on the backside that overlook the harbor and the mountains in the background.

Just don’t do it, go anywhere in Seward except here. I had the rockfish fish and chips, 3 tiny, tiny pieces of fish that were pretty much inedible. The meat was black and grey and extremely oily. When I sent it back they gave me 20% off for a meal that was nasty and I only tasted. The fries weren’t bad but the fish left such a bad taste that I only ate a few. Nice view from our table of the harbor. We ate here 9 years ago and the food was amazing, very disappointed.

Disappointed by Hostess’s Rudeness – Longtime Favorite Let Us Down
Chinooks has always been a must-visit for us when we’re in Seward—historically one of our absolute favorites. Sadly, this recent visit left us with a very negative impression due entirely to the hostess, Stephanie.
From the moment we arrived, Stephanie was rude and dismissive. She acted as though our presence was an inconvenience and even refused to give us menus, stating they were her “last ones.” It was an unnecessarily unwelcoming experience that set a poor tone for the entire meal.
To be clear, our waitress was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and everything we’ve come to love about Chinooks’ service. But it’s disappointing when one person’s poor attitude overshadows an otherwise great establishment. We truly hope management addresses this, as it would be a shame to see a favorite spot lose its charm over something so avoidable.
