The only thing going for this place is the view. It’s a tourist trap and there are much better options for dinner in Seward.

Chinooks is a pretty nice to stop in town if you're looking for a casual place with friends to relax for a bit and enjoy a breathtaking view. Service was very mid, at least for a table of two adults with a baby in a corner. But I at least liked that they gave us a corner seating which worked with my stroller and came with a perfect view of the harbor on a beautiful summer day. The food is maybe hit or miss. If you like a crisp crab cake this is not it. These were definitely on the mush side and leaving sauce to be desired. The fish and chips were very pleasant. I'd come here again if I had folks from out of town to show off this wonderful view to but not so much be back for the culinary element they've got here.

This is the only restaurant that we found open in Seward. Walking distance from the train station so it is very convenient to have a bite to eat before boarding. We just got appetizer crab cake and clam chowder. Both were very good. Service was fast and server was so sweet. We got seated next to the window with view of the boats. Very nice location and we enjoyed our foods!

Everything was great, if deciding between halibut and rock fish for fish and chips go with the rock fish IMHO.

I really liked this place. Kinda feels like a hole in the wall but the food is wonderful and it isn't too crowded or loud. Relaxed, cozy atmosphere with great view. Drinks were also delicious.

Very less food for to go, and it has calculate wrong on the total also. Below one charge 38 bucks, not worth eat all.

The salmon poke is very skimpy on salmon and not much flavor in the dish.Served with green beans- weird. Rockfish fish was good but fries soggy. Great views. Over priced, definitely paying for the view.

Eating good food and watching sea lions eat salmon at the same time was pretty awesome.Bar tender/ waitress (Amanda) was great. The darker colored girl at the door was not so friendly. I would still recommend stopping in.

Don't come here The only reason I have one star is for the waitress Hope, who was sweet and helpful. It seems like the chef of this restaurant ( If there is one ) has checked out of his job The meal of one lousy salmon with Kirkland frozen beans that was probably literally just boiled (not evenly) and tossed onto the plate and crab cakes was $60 So expensive for nothing Sheer waste of time and money

First off I just want to say I’ve maybe done 2 reviews before… Came in to get drinks while we waited. The scent as we walked in the building was like a gas station urinal. I couldn’t believe anyone was eating here due to the overwhelming odor of pee, not fish, not ocean…. That should have been a sign… In being starving after a drive from Homer, we ordered shrimp that we thought was a rubber tire doused in sauce then microwaved… The restaurant inside is soo cute and has soo much potential if they could get the smell to dissipate.

I really should have looked at recent reviews before we entered. We felt as if we were being ignored. At that point, I should have left. The food was very overpriced for what we got when we got it. After having to ask what happened, many people seated after us were served. The food was cold, the rice was plain, and the green beans were plain. We will not be back. We are very patient and forgiving bunch. We paid without complaining and left a minimal tip.

Had higher hopes based off reviews. The Thai Salmon I received was just salmon with random sweet and sour sauce on top. It was served with unseasoned white rice and bland green beans for $34. There were flies flying all around the inside of the restaurant. Our server, I believe her name was Madison, was wonderful. It is certainly not her fault the restaurant falls short.

Just don’t. Place was pretty empty (and smelled terrible) but they still tried to seat us at kitchen door. Staff was busy discussing hiring and firing at the bar. Waitress was impatient. Then, blue PLASTIC found in two different servings of rice. Halibut fillets were rubbery as if previously frozen (tried again at restaurant next door the next night; incredibly better). Cold gray green beans. Chowder was cold. They compted the plates with plastic but just don’t.
