Had a disappointing multi-species trip with Capt Bryson. A three hour ride out to Montague Island just to set up on a chicken ranch with no tide. The all 12 people caught their 2 halibut but not one of them was even 10lbs. I was shocked when I pulled up an 18in fish and the captain gaffed it without a beat. We could have caught those in the harbor.The crew didn't really communicate with us as to the plan or what we were doing. I had to go inside to tell people we were rockfishing because they thought we were at a halibut spot and they had their 2 already.Overall the crew seemed like they were done with the season and ready to go home. I know things get chaotic with 12 anglers on the boat but some of my group felt the crew was a little rude. If we aren't going for meat and we aren't going to have fun, why exactly are paying the money and braving the weather?

Non stop fish all day! Our crew put us on the fish all day and what a blast it was! We caught halibut, many different types of rock fish, cod and someone even brought up skate fish! The crew was friendly and helpful where the main focus was you catching fish! A big shout out to the captain Bryson for putting us on the fish and also Joe as he filleted ALL the fish on the ride back for us to take home and enjoy! Even had a photo session with the fish we caught which even my wife enjoyed! I would recommend this to anyone and if we come back we will be booking with them again!

Captain Bailey and Nolan were absolutely incredible. I've been going on charters out of seward for 7 years and these guys are by far the best. They were competent in catching, friendly in their demeanor, and accommodating to my disabled uncles. My whole family enjoyed themselves and will be returning.

This was my first-ever fishing trip, with my family of seasoned fisherman, and they said the journey with j-dock was the best we ever had. Bailey & Nolan were super knowledgable, friendly, and worked tirelessly to make sure we filled our coolers over our 2-day trip. Bailey's fishery degree meant he was super knowledgable about not only the craft/skill of Alaska fishing, but the ecology and sustainability behind it. They were also f-ing hilarious and Nolan was frankly the best fish filleter any of us have ever seen. I'm only booking with J-dock from now on. And am already planning my trip back next year.

Bucket List trip. I took my 4 sons & grandson. 1st day on the Tenacious. The Captain was fantastic. We were on the fish all day. Ryan and the crew did an amazing job. J Dock all the way.2nd day on the Off Shore Huntress. We has the same crew. We limited out by 11:30. We saw a large podcast of Humpback whales feeding & a pod of Killer whales hunting. Fantastic day, Brad the Captain was very caring. My young grandson thought he's the best. No cussing or alcohol seen.
Captain Kyle and Isaac and Zach were awesome to go fishing with!!! With each got a halibut, 2 of us were over 120 lbs. Largest was 135 lbs. We also caught Lincod, silver salmon and rock fish. Not a better crew out there.

I booked a 3/4 day and an all-day fishing trip. Both trips were fantastic. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is considering charter fishing.If you're a person who doesn't like to have fun, then I recommend that you stay away. But if you want to have a great time, then this is where you need to be.

Amazing fishing experience with Will and his crew. July 19th for the half day. We fished for salmon and rock fish. Our group of 6 including 5 year old and 7 year old caught over 60lb of fish which is going to be shipped to Hawaii. I was not sure if the boat would be a good fit for our young daughter but the crew was amazing. I was told the fishing does not get any better that day. We all had an amazing experience.

My wife and I did the salmon and rockfish 1/2 day charter on July 19, 2023. Will was our Captain and was AWESOME! Joe and Reed were our deckhands and they did a great job. Joe was a riot and we had a great time talking and joking around. Will went above and beyond to make sure we maximized our fishing experience.
