The foods good, and they originally make coffee good but the one time they mess up and you politely ask for another one because it tastes terrible, the man in the front is absolutely rude and has the worst attitude. I always give people the benefit of the doubt but he’s living up to his bad reputation. We definitely will stop going here and never go back. It’s a shame some people have to be so ignorant and ruin a good place. Very disappointed.

Wanted to get some good coffee in downtown but since my usual place was closed decided to try this one. Ordered 2 lattes and sat down to wait. After I noticed that it was taking way too long and no one inside I decided to see what’s going on. Saw that the guy making lattes is tasing each one with a spoon several times….not something I expected to see AT ALL. Asked the guy if he was tasting my coffee and he replied “I always taste the coffee to make sure I get the right amount of syrup in”. I was blown away…wanted to leave the coffee there and get a refund but left the store and decided to never return. If you don’t know how to make coffee then don’t….its not only unprofessional but unsanitary. Threw away the coffees and will never return to this place again. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Has a sign about “jesus loves you” but also has signs of hatred toward LGBTQ+ individuals. I did not see any asterisks in Jesus loves you for the restrictions applies either so this establishment promotes false advertisement.

Wish I had not support this establishment.

My girlfriend and I stopped here to try something new. We normally go to the Fire brand Bbq or Seward Brewing co. To give you context we are Alaska natives that reside in Kasilof. So we live in the peninsula and wanted to come to Seward. Upon showing up the restaurant was dirty, the tables weren’t wiped down, the chairs were also dirty. The person that took out order was nice, but once we got our food (chicken quesadilla and Philly cheesesteak) we noticed that they just reheated the old steak fries and the food we got had a seafood taste, even though there wasn’t any seafood in our order. Most likely the cook used the same pan to cook everything in. After getting our food the cook started talking about us being tourists and complaining about making our food and how we don’t know what a farmed salmon and wild salmon is. It is quite ironic because we are Alaska native and have been fishing for hatchery and wild salmon our whole lives. I understand not liking tourists, but you can’t assume every customer is one. Aside from the food, the environment there isn’t pleasant and I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Ironically the owner or cook most likely isn’t from Alaska or is a “2nd or 3rd generation Alaskan.” To my other native people don’t come here.

The food is delicious. Here you order at the cashier, pay and sit down and the meal comes to you.
There is no internet. Are there bathrooms.

Yes, this place has hands-down the best apple fritter I’ve had in the world and everything else was pretty good too

We walked into this place without checking any reviews and were pleasantly surprised with the food quality and taste. Nice people and excellent service. A must try restaurant at Seaward.

Unpleasant Experience at lighthouse.
today I visited lighthouse cafe with my two children, and unfortunately, it was an extremely unpleasant experience. We arrived at 9am to find the shop already filled, which wasn’t an issue. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse.

As I stepped up to the counter to place my order, the couple behind me decided to leave without ordering. Instead of ignoring their departure, the owner began loudly berating them, saying things like, “I’m glad they left, I don’t want to serve people like that! They have no patience. That’s the way society is now, just going downhill.” Shocked by his outburst, I suggested that he should be the change he wants to see in the world. Instead of taking my comment to heart, he responded by saying I should be grateful to be a tourist and get to see the area he lives in because, according to him, “the world is going downhill.” I replied, “Wow, that’s a lot of negativity first thing in the morning,” to which he responded, “I rebuke it in the name of Jesus, but people are awful.” At this point, I wasn’t sure if I should provide a mirror.

Despite the negativity, I proceeded with my order. After receiving my three pastries and sitting down, I noticed the worker had forgotten to make my coffee. The owner gave him quite an earful, which only added to the tense atmosphere.

What really sent me over the edge was the way the owner spoke to an Indian couple who had placed an order and were waiting for it to be ready. The wife approached the counter to ask how long it would take, as they were in an obvious hurry. The owner’s response was appallingly rude and dismissive: “I don’t know how time works in India, but here it’s ready when it’s done.” The couple ended up leaving without their food, and I was shocked!

My son wanted to order more food, but I refuse to ever support this business again! Overall, the negativity and rudeness displayed by the owner made for a very uncomfortable experience. While the pastries were fine, the atmosphere and treatment of customers were far from acceptable. I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place to others.

Ate here with our grandkids this morning. They said their pancakes were the best they ever had. I had the breakfast burrito which was stuffed full and flavorful! It was definitely homeade, I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews. All the staff was fun and courteous. We'd definitely go here again. Oh and YES order the side of bacon, salty and crisp.

Not sure why there are so many mixed reviews this place is fantastic. Maybe because it is right on the waterfront and they get a mixed crowd of cruise ship people, tourists, and locals. But either way we had the burger, salmon burger and Philly and we really enjoyed them all. Service was so friendly and quick. They had a case with some pastries but all had been sold before we got there. We'd go there again next time we are in Seward 100%. Also a major plus was they had their own restroom and they were clean! Lighthouse Cafe has it dialed in.

Parking: They are on the waterfront so you need to use the pay lots but it is usually not too difficult to find spots. During peak tourist season it is harder of course

Kid-friendliness: They have a lot of kid friendly menu options. Both of my kids had the burgers and they devoured them. But they were serving breakfast even during lunch hours
