I would return. The location is in the harbor and the food was tasty. I liked the split level layout of the restaurant. The beer selection is very good and extensive too. Prices are reasonable from my point of view.

Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. The food is great the staff if friendly and the atmosphere os amazing with the waterfront seating and all the large windows. The only gripe is that the price is very high but makes sense for their location right on the docks.

Waiter opened the window for us, because I told him we were hot. This was before taking our order. Really considerate. Great view of the Harbor while eating dinner.Really enjoyed the Halibut FISH-N-CHIPS. Bread fresh Olive Oil and Spices. Cocktails were nice too. Walking distance from the hotel. Really Nice.I could have spent less. No regrets. You can spend a lot less than I did here. But with the service, view of the Harbor and the Great Food I was in a mood to spend ? ? ?

Crab and artichoke dip burned the roof of my mouth. Miso sablefish wasn't hot at all. We enjoyed dining in the bar.

Ray's Waterfront is undoubtedly #1 in Alaska. Perhaps a slight upcharge aka "tourist pricing" but you get an awesome view from the restaurant and the food is amongst the top in my all time faves. Couple this with good service and you see why it's an easy 5 stars! Started off with a sampling of 3 different appetizers, calamari, crab cakes and scallops. Perfection on all 3 and impossible to pick a favorite but the scallops were unlike any other I've had. Main course I opted for Halibut Andaman and it was yet another home run. I'm always a bit skeptical with curry sauces but Ray's nails this one. It pairs like a marriage meant to be atop the macadamia nut crust surrounding an ever so delicious filet of fresh halibut. After 2 immediate wins on appetizers and main course, I had to go for it all and try a dessert. Bread pudding caught my eye and it was an absolute grand slam!!! From the first bite, I was in paradise as this recipe encompasses all things great about bread pudding and elevates it at least 3 notches beyond the "best you've ever had". A total win-win here and true 5 star experience!

We loved Ray's Waterfront restaurant! We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table but it was worth it. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the big windows overlooking the harbor.. My husband and I both loved our dinner. We got the Mount Alice salad, i got the salmon and my husband got the fish and chips. It was the best salmon i've ever had, and my husband said it was the best fish and chips he ever had. Service was good. Would definitely eat here again if in Seward in the future!

The food was reasonable with fresh asparagus and chicken topped with pineapple from a tin. The view was amazing overlooking the harbour.

This restaurant has an interesting view out to harbour and could well be trading on it. Food is well cooked and not overwhelming. However staff were surley - almost rude. Eventhough we had made a reservation we were placed at the back of the restaurant dispite the notice - prominently displayed - that harbour view tables were for reservations! I get that they may feel that most of their diners are once only visitors - off cruise ships. However judgements should not be made as we were staying in the area for several days. The lack of manners lead us to visit only once!

I've been bringing visiting family and friends here since this place opened. The cioppino is something they are known for and what I have ordered for years. It was great when I had it again two weeks ago as was the New York steak and Sable Fish and Salad/ Clam Chowder ordered by others in our party. The place was packed but yet the service was great- not hovering, not lacking. Also, I cannot understand why anyone reviewing any restaurant would give bad marks for waiting in line. Morons. Would that not indicate a great place to dine?

Very popular place because of the good food and great views of the Seward harbor. Good selection of beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. Friendly service. Although it's not obvious one the website, they do allow a small number of reservations--just email them.

Conveniently located, great ambiance and super food - this sums up the experience at Ray’s Waterfront. The salmon and crabs were out of this world. A well stocked bar added to the experience. Overall a great place for a relaxed evening.

Great place to eat. We had reservations and had no wait. We both had the Captains Platter. No disappointments

Slow service, overpriced food. Ray’s used to be excellent, but it has definitely lost its appeal over the past few years. The food isn’t bad, but it’s overpriced for what you get. Our bill with tip was almost $250 and we had no alcohol. The halibut special sounded fantastic, but the execution was poor. Since it was my parent’s 50th anniversary we splurged on 2 desserts for the family, which were both excellent, but overall we were highly disappointed.
