Excellent breakfast and lunch burritos, they may seem expensive at 15.00 bucks but 1 person cannot eat one they are made for 2 at least.

I Had the breakfast burrito which I absolutely loved! They had a few benches to sit out back that were shielded from the rain. Food was served quickly and tasted great. Partner ordered French toast which we both really enjoyed as well. Definitely recommend this place for a quick brunch before any activities in town.

A very cool setting for breakfast. Note the seating is round the back, outside only.Order the breakfast burrito, with bacon and veg. Trust me. It was amazing. The French toast was good, but got cold too quick.

We ate at the Smoke Shack for breakfast, and I don't think we were hungry for the entire rest of the day. Delicious and did not disappoint! Offered some different options for breakfast that were refreshing. The home fries were great with the chipotle ranch, the french toast filling and sweet, and the bacon perfectly cooked. Hubby loved his biscuits and gravy. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing food at the smokeshack - chilaquiles on special were amazing and the spicy pork sandwich was out of this world. Both had hefty portions too! The homefries were very nice and crispy, could have used just a touch more salt.Nice covered seating area out back and very friendly service.

Came here for breakfast and got the french toast breakfast along with a breakfast sandwich. Everything taste very good and the woman who took our order was friendly. Only downside was that they were closed on Father’s Day and had no dining inside the train when we did go (it was veryy cold that morning)

Very good BBQ, served quickly. Easily gluten free by swapping out the bun for home fries. Convenient - right next to the boarding docks.

This is just a simple little place with a big smoker and outdoor seating. I had a seriously amazing pork belly sandwich, but the beans were a bland afterthought. Still, the meat is what you go there for, and that is top-notch.

Although we hoped to eat inside as our last visit here years ago, we were not disappointed. The creative breakfast options were delicious. We had the easy-going with green chili, breakfast sandwiches, and luscious French toast. The whole made blueberry basil lemonade and cherry lemonade were really good. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Would totally recommend.

Food was awesome! The family enjoyed breakfast sandwiches while I ate the chicken tenderloin with sausage gravy, delish! Owned by brother sister team, great hospitality.Thank you!

Wowwwwww. We were in town and went twice because it was so good. You order at the window in the front and there is some open seating around back. First round, I got the veggie breakfast burrito - it was perfect. It was packed with filling, not leaky, tons of flavor. Second time we got lunch and I had the pulled pork BBQ. The whole sandwich plus the pickles and coleslaw was A+. Highly recommend the homemade lemonades. Worth it no matter what. Plus it’s in an old train car. Can you get more AK?!

Loved our first meal so much we had to go back again a couple days later. Our first day I ordered the Easy Goin’. It was super delicious. It was the perfect hearty breakfast I was craving that morning. My girlfriend order the special, quiche with a side of potatoes. THE BEST QUICHE ON THE PLANET. It was so light and fluffy with the perfect crust. We loved it so much we had to ask them how it was made. Our second trip there i orders the burrito with bacon. Also another great hearty breakfast burrito with loads of bacon. My girlfriend ordered the special of the day, cured salmon lox, homemade bagel, capers, cream cheese, and dill. We have this meal a lot since it’s an easy camping meal. This was the best version of that. The bagel really made that dish. I loved it. 10/10 would recommend the Smoke Shack! I didn’t have a bad meal there.

Hands down best breakfast I've had in Alaska and generally had in awhile. Everything tasted amazing and while the portions weren't huge, the food was dense making them feel far larger than they looked. Only issue I see is that cook times can take awhile - 30 mins to cook for our group of 6 - but let me assure you that the wait is well worth it. Do not miss this.Experience - 4 knocking a point off for wait timesOfferings - 5 - A+ breakfast: burritos were huge, sandwiches were chock full of filing, grits were delectable and even the French toast was good!Value - 5 - prices are very reasonable and considering you're getting breakfast head and shoulders better than other places in the area this is a stealPictured: breakfast sandwich with bacon and cheddar cheese
