Restaurants in tourist destinations rarely remain open after summer ends. Woody's in Seward is one of the few and it is worth the drive to Seward. The staff is welcoming and the decor is warm and unique. The menu has a variety of options and the portions are generous. The pricing is fair, with value added for authentic flavors and spices (see my photos). This is my new favorite place in Seward.

One of the best restaurants in Seward. Great for a group setting or intimate dinner. Cute ambiance and art. Amy Winehouse was playing over the speakers. Appreciate they have vegan & vegetarian options. Portions are HUGE. Quality, great tasting Thai!

Atmosphere is good but staffs are not so friendly. Didn’t even care to ask us about spice levels. Took long time to seat us, took long time to even provide menu cards after we were seated, food didn’t taste Thai at all. We ordered Pad Thai and Kid’s menu noodles for my kid. It was all filled with just soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar. One word: Disappointed.

We had a large group of 11 people consisting of three different families with kids. The waitress easily handled all of us and our various requests. She even anticipated when we needed extra rice and some early food for the baby. The food was plentiful and delicious! You could easily split a meal. We ended up with lots of yummy left overs. The curry was a bit on the spicy side, but I’m a spicy wimp. Excellent service all the way around, we will be back!

Woodys hit on all level of great.
Come in the door and the music is chill and hiphoppin. You can see into the kitchen, totally clean. Donning side clean. 3 family gathering. 6 kids with focus issues. Server was cool the entire time with kids. We tried all three Curry’s. A heat level for everyone. Large portions fair for the price. My less adventurous kid had nugget option. They kindly split the check of our complicated large family. Michelle is epic cool person!

Excellent Thai food. The Holy Basil was fantastic. Get a recommendation on the spice level because a 1 was pretty spicy and waitress brought more heat in a cup to add. My wife said it was the best Thai she has ever had. It was also the most expensive Thai I’ve ever had with a chicken dish going for $38. Would return, maybe even this trip.

Absolutely love this special little spot in beautiful Seward Alaska! Always get the bacon fried rice, its always amazing every single time! It's always the same im the best way possible! Flavorful, Comforting! I always order it, with the pineapple is a must! Wife always Curry noodle soup which is packed with Flavor! Wish they still served the fresh spring rolls, were our favorite appetizers. If you're looking for Flavor food made with love and passion, make sure to stop by our favorite little spot!

Wonderful Decor and the ambiance is great! The food was terrific. We had Shrimp Fried Rice and Holy Basil! It was fantastic! You get to choose the heat. The help was awesome. Our Server was Michelle. She is friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable about the foods served. Great Job Michelle

Ive eaten Thail food all over the united states...it is one of my absolute favorite foods...
I was absolutely stunned with a food here at Woodys...EVERYTHING (we tried SEVERAL entrées) all tasted authentic, yet all tasted unlike any ive had before...like they sprinkled magic pixi dust on the food...or like unicorn sprinkles ...I dont know what it was, even the Thai tea had this incredible hint of smoky flavor..
Woodys is worth any trip , of any distance , from anywhere.... this place is special.
I might literally move from the lower 48 to seward so I can eat here regularly..

Pad thai was good, just not $29 good. Unfortunately, no complementary soup for the steep price. Interactions between my server and I were dry and unenthusiastic; she seemed exhausted. I wish I was asked about spiciness because my dish definitely needed some. Not sure I'd recommend this place.

Service was fast and food was great! We got the Pad Thai and Panang curry, and both were delicious! Prices are typical for Seward, but may be on the lower side overall.
