We walked past this spot to use the public restroom at the end of the block. It was such a cute shop and we could smell the food from outside. The gentleman inside were very nice and friendly. They went over the menu with us and we decided to have lunch here. We ordered the reindeer sausage, beef burger, and Mac & cheese. We were also very excited by the desserts but we planned on coming back inside to order coffee and treats after we ate lunch. Honestly the food was nothing to be excited about. The burger had this really pale color for beef kinda almost looked like a Turkey burger, the reindeer sausage was good but nothing special, and the Mac & cheese was sooooo disappointing. It was what appeared to be instant Kraft Mac & cheese with some pepper in it to spice it up a little. Our lunch was edible but so un-impressive that we decided to get coffee and sweet treats somewhere else. To the owners (who I think I dealt with inside) I know you can do better! I really loved the shop and the service you just have to do something about your food.

Ended up here by chance. We heard another couple talking about going here when we were headed to a different place for breakfast. When it was closed we decided to find this place. Finding it was a bit of a trick. It is NO LONGER on broadway, instead it is next to the building around the corner which does NOT have a sign on it. It is a very small building and very easy to walk past. Once we found it we ordered biscuits and gravy and they are the best. Everything there is home made and the owner are very friendly. I highly suggest you find this place and enjoy some great food.
We're from Hawaii, and was on our 7day/7night Princess Cruise to Alaska. We took a side street to purchase liquids. We found a hidden gem called: Bites on Broadway.WOW!!! What a wonderful experience we had there. The owners were filled with the same Aloha Spirit that we are accustomed to here in Hawaii. The food was great, the desserts were incredible, but, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The conversation was authentic & loving.Turns out, this was the BEST spot we experienced while off-shore.It is truly sad that the busses that take you around the city, will tell you that "Star Bucks" or some other watering hole is on the main street. But, the BEST watering hole is located at the end of town, hidden down a street.I'm soooo glad we found Bites on Broadway & even more elated to meet two great guys who are so authentic & loving. So, if you are REAL, and love to meet FANTASTIC people, please go check out our newest members of our Family at Bites on Broadway inSkagway, Alaska!

This is a local shop that moved off the main street and into an unassuming little shop down the side street. Happened to stop by because we visited the park next door. You can't tell from the outside but the rug at the wide open doors lets you know you're in the right place. The coffee and muffin we ordered were good but the folks behind the counter really made it an excellent visit. And if you have kids, they have a giant pile of beautiful rocks for kids to have/dig through as their parent order.

Friendly staff and lovely bagels. We tried the bbq chicken bagel which was so delicious as well as the elk burger which was also very nice.
Nice interior. The waiter was nice but comically either stoned or hungover. Probably both. Right off the bat he spills the salt and then casually threw some over his left shoulder for good luck. Then he slowly took our orders. Came back 20 minutes later and said wait we don't have any of that stuff would you like an omelet? I said sure. He said he would go see if the cook could make an omelet. He came back 10 minutes later and said "how was your food" I said I didn't get it. I think u were going to check on an omelet. He then said oh yea let me get back to u with what u want on it. He came back 10 minutes later and said "omelet?" I said yes. Just load it up please. Later I got my plastic tasting omelet with a side of salad for some reason?? Anyway this place had comically bad service and food. But I loved it. I was very entertained. And all the workers were very nice and in good moods, just too high to work. 3 stars. Also cheap place for skagway
Amazing breakfast/lunch spot. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and coffee options! Friendly staff and decent pricing for this tiny town!
Nice building…. But do yourself a favor … don’t. Our experience was a experience. The guy who was the host publicly embarrassed a town resident. The food is not made there… the soup was lukewarm at best… not one time did they ask if you needed a refill or how was the sandwich…..we order. We tasted the food. We left, only to go back the ship to eat lunch.
Subpar at best. The coffee was ok, the food tasted like it was all prepackaged and thrown together by fast food workers. The Avocado toast was probably the worst I have ever had. The servers were nice however the host was rude and was letting us know we had to leave soon because they were turning tables for lunch. We were there for under 1 hour while we consumed both beverages and undesirable meals. I have never had such a worse experience. If you are looking for coffee I would recommend you grab a to go or avoid this place all together.

I would rate this place a zero if I could. The manager/owner was the rudest person I have ever met. Went to have lunch and he told us food would not be put out for at least 45 minutes because of a mishap in the kitchen and practically escorted us out. Left and on our return a nice young boy sat us at a table but the owner/manager practically ran up to us and told us again that food would not be out for 45 minutes. But a second later he seats a couple with no reservations and hands them lunch menus? Needless to say we didn’t get lunch menus or lunch there. I have never been treated like this ever. Any reputable business would never treat their customers like this.
Super yummy coffee, very welcoming staff, and delicious salted caramel cookies. And you must try their Sweet Potato Butter...... WOW!! Was such a wonderful stop on our cruise. Warning: No wifi. But it's nice to take a break from the phone.
Ordered a muffin for take away (go to the left side to order from the coffee area, don't wait in the sit down restaurant area). It was delicious! The only downside was the long wait. BONUS TIP: There is a fantastic playground nearby for children to play.
What a lovely spot. The service was friendly and fast - the staff an extended family - the breakfast sandwiches were delicious and filling. We would definitely go back. A great alternative (and much less expensive) than eating at the hotel. It’s only open until 2pm.
It doesn't seem like they actually make any of their food here. We were told they don't have the ability to make scrambled eggs, just the pre-made round quiche type eggs. The biscuits and gravy were served barely warm, the waffle was clearly pre-made, everything was served in disposable containers except the coffee. We told wait staff the food was bad and they didn't care. The orange juice in plastic cups was the best thing we had.
