I always love coming here during the off-season (I visited at the end of October) because everything is discounted. They have ice cream, fudge, candied nuts, chocolates, and all kinds of candies. It can get a bit busy at times, but everything is so good that it’s absolutely worth the wait.

I have had a hankering for some fudge, the last several days. Today my hankering has been satisfied. The fudge was 50% off. My thought of a small piece of fudge blossomed in to 3 chunks of fudge.

Ice cream was delicious and the flavored energy drinks were a perfect pick me up!

Some of the best fudge I have ever had and the employees are friendly!

Wow! Excellent ice cream with many flavors to choose from. When you buy some ice cream you get a discount on fudge. We got some orange cream and lemon. Very good tasting fudge. A plus for sure when you come here. Would recommend it!

Expensive as expected but the fudge was just ok. Bland flavour and the texture was a bit grainy.

Very cute ice cream spot in Skagway. Been there for over 40 years, with fantastic ice cream (we had the espresso chip - super yummy) and large portions. Fun to walk around with. Highly recommend.

Small shop that gets busy very quickly.

This place needs an adult to help keep things on track. Kiddos are working hard, but take way too long without guidance.

Ice cream was very good.

How

amazing fudge it was creamy, soft, and chocolatey without too much chocolate taste and it was pretty cheap for how much you got

This is the place where I discovered my love of Lotus energy drink.
I had only heard of this magical substance online, as it’s not available in Canada, which made me want it even more.

I enjoyed sipping my electric blue neon drink that matched all the beautiful glacial water I was surrounded by. In all seriousness, I was on a cruise that actually two cruises back to back so I got to go to Skagway twice and I made a b-line for the Kone Kompany when I got off the second time. I just really like the vibes in there. It reminds me of the ice cream shop in my hometown. Most of the workers were high school students, and they make a dang good Lotus, and give very great customer service.

Check their entire menu out, specifically the fudge. You can sample them too, just ask nicely and maybe if it’s super busy don’t ask - but you do you! All I know is if I ever go back to Skagway I will be back here at Kone Kompany. I still think about it fondly. :)

This ice cream shop was very cute, but super small. The lines were a bit chaotic and it was hard to tell what line you were in. There are two lines that you eventually hope you’re in the right one for. One was for fudge and the other for ice cream. You can’t tell from the main line/entrance. (Left-fudge, right-ice cream) Also it’s so tight that you can’t see the flavors before you are urged to pick something or get past up in line. I just ordered familiar flavors for both of us. I heard some of the other flavors were good, but I couldn’t even get a visual of anything before deciding. All in all, it was Dreyers ice cream, so it was delicious. Something fun about ice cream in the blistering Alaskan cold. Not sure why, but it’s a must.

The huckleberry cheesecake ice cream was unique and delicious. Great kids running this family owned business. They were friendly and helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area.
