Bus driver from the cruise port to the site narrated the drive for us and was highly informative and comical. The staff members at the site were dressed in period garb and performed a musical play related to liarsville, and we were served plenty of food afterwards. Then we panned for gold.
Was a stop in our tour, was something unique, Representing the local community and presenting a recreation of the town of the 1860 tradition and culture. We had a lunch at the end of the presentation. Rice, baked beans, coleslaw and potatoes, the best part, salmon on the grill. Love it.
Grilled salmon tasted quite good, with a nice smokey flavor. The cornbread was amazing with the glaze. It is like a buffet so you need to serve yourself. If you're going on the salmon bake shore excursion, you'll need to eat quick to get your money's worth.
Some people were helped with their plates when they were finished and others were not. It reminds me of an outdoor mess hall in the middle of the woods with a camp nearby.
