Genuinely surprised how good the food is here. Price is manageable for being located at the top of the world. I’ve spent several weeks up here and see lots of people come and go. What kills me is when tourists come and complain on a busy evening. They don’t have a lot of workers but they’ve always been kind and friendly. Relax and take a breath.
Simply the best restaurant in town (of the handful). The most accessible hours. The comfiest seating. The broadest menu. Pretty decent coffee for a diner. It’s pricey like everywhere else, but at least the server smiled and the food was pleasing.
I don't think this place needs reviews because, honestly, what choice do you have? However, the salty waitress Leila definitely adds value. Pound for pound, I'm certain I've never met a more sarcastic Iñupiaq in my life - and that's not a bad thing.
