Outstanding in all aspects. My only regret is that we just tried this place today and we have to leave town tomorrow. Halibut and shrimp baskets were amazing!

I ordered a Halibut Basket with Cajun fries. I'm not a big fan of fish, but it came highly recommended. The Halibut was fried, flaky, and lite. The fries had excellent flavor
The meal lifted me spiritually, i highly recommend this restaurant.

It was more than I was expecting $35 for halibut and fries. The fries were Cajun and the halibut had different seasonings that I couldn't place. It was ok, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I wouldn't buy the fries or the halibut again. The outdoor seating was nice.

They rock. Po boy is amazing!! Check out FAT MERMAID, VALDEZ BREWING, and KLONDIKE COFFEE ☕️

We are from New Orleans and walked past this place on our way to get food elsewhere and honestly immediately turned our noses up at the concept of a po boy in Alaska. But when we couldn't stop wondering about it, even though we had already eaten dinner, one in our group went back right before they closed to get a halibut po boy for us to split so we could sample it, and boy was it worth it!!! It's real French bread!!! I truly expected something else because we can't ever find real French bread like what you're used to for a New Orleans po boy anywhere else. The halibut was a good sized piece, seasoned very well like New Orleans blackened flavor, and it was a classicly dressed po boy. 10/10 recommend even though it was the most expensive po boy I've ever bought, but that's because it was halibut and in Alaska and it was worth it. And they have Zapp's!

Expensive, and the Cajun seasoned fries were salty to a point of making them nearly inedible. I'm still hungry, but I can't finish this basket because of all the salt.
Best halibut Fish and chips EVER!!! Some locals suggested this is the place to go. The breading/seasoning is perfect with any of the brews from Valdez.
Other fish and chips in town, but Poor Betty's takes the crown hands down ?
Cant wait to go back.

Amazing!!! I got the shrimp basket expecting it to be small for the price and it was not. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, lightly battered yet crisp. Every fry in the basket had seasoning on it. The sauce that comes with the basket is unique and delicious. The place is conveniently located right outside the Valdez Brewery. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t.
