I parked near this place while I was in valdez,google needs to work on the location sensitivity, lol.i did however call them once and they said they were sold out of all meat options.

The Philly Sandwich and the Salmon Roll are both terrific! The mac and cheese with bacon... not packaged bacon bits, but CHUNKS of bacon, is the best pick me up snack in Valdez, Alaska. Well be back!

Went here because it was recommended to me by a friend when I arrived I ordered food and when I got my food it was extremely salty probably the saltiest food I’ve ever had none of my family members could finish the food. Also the staff members had horrible mouths around children that were there. Won’t go back again.

I ordered the Rosemary Garlic curly fries, which had good flavor but I was expecting them to have more of a crispy, crunch, these were just soft & somewhat soggy. They have other menu options which sounded good too.

Of all the restaurants we stopped at in Valdez, this one was my absolute favorite! Great food, great service, great people! Literally all around great! Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly and even have a bucket of chalk for the kids to play with while everyone eats.
The lettuce on the salmon roll was so wet and abundant it was a big wet mess for me to eat :/ $16 for a pretty basic sandwich w/o fries or drink seems like a lot.

Hit this place on our way out of Valdez and wish we would have found it on our way in. The food was really good. My wife and oldest got the Cheese burger, and my youngest daughter got the Cheese Steak, and I got the Spudnicks Supreme. Generous portions is an understatement. The bread is sweet and really satisfying, making everything "slap your momma" good.Loved the service, the people and the mood. We highly recommend The Potato.

We had a few hours in Valdez after our cruise and found this place. Great, fresh food. You get a lot for the price. Friendly staff and environmentally conscious. We had a lovely lunch on the deck - chicken fajita pita, hummus wrap and yogurt cup. All fabulous. Highly Recommend!

I think this place is overrated. Too expensive for what the food taste like. The fries were not that good. Next time we're in Valdez, we won't be coming back to this place. There were plenty of tables to eat and the service was not bad, but still I don't think the food is great.
Ate here for lunch one day while in the area in August. Busy place because the food is so good. We had the salmon roll. It was excellent.
