Staff took a half hour to get us water. Didn't pay attention when my wife asked for no mayo. Bulgogi po boy was underwhelming to say the least. Everything obviously store bought, no effort. And almost 30 bucks for two plates of food with no drinks.
The resturant is indicated as to serve french food, but what I found is a sushi bar when I walked in. So I asked one of the waitress about what kind of food they serve actually. However, the waitress was extreme unpatient and disrespectful. After we looked through the menu at the entrance, we thought they might not have the food we want so we decided to leave. Then, the waitress got angry and said something in their own language. Horrible experience in beautiful Valdez!!!
The bistro has really stepped up their game!! If you haven't bern their recently, give them a try. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and the service!

Seafood pasta melted in my mouth & ate almost all of it but a few bites! Service was great also I'm definitely going back and tell more people about it!
Service greeted with gratitude and seated/served in a timely manner. The view is amazing, we sat next to the windows overlooking the mountains and the dock. I ordered a salmon fillet which came out flavorful and served with fried rice.
Excellent Korean food, had the Bibimbop with Bulgogi added on top. Food tasted authentic.
$$$ but worth. They know their ingredients, that's for sure. The Salmon Fillet was nothing short of excellent. Next time I road trip in AK I'm going back here.
I ordered the bacon cheeseburger....I can not say enough about this dinner. The portions were huge so much that I couldn't finish it. I have never had a cheeseburger melt in my mouth the way this one did!!! I will definitely be dinning here again!!!

I had the halibut and their special Argentinian flank steak. Normally there are 2 things I never order in a restaurant, steak and fish. Both dishes were excellent. The halibut was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning, and the vegetables were cooked just enough to sear in the flavor but still be crisp. The flank steak I was nervous to order because everyone has "the best steak" and no one ever delivers. I can cook an amazing steak at home in a few minutes rather inexpensively. Having said that this flank steak was not only one of the nicest looking plates I've been served but chef Gaarde nailed the flavor and again the vegetables were perfect. Chef Gaarde definitely has a talent for food and I would eat at whatever restaurant he was cooking at.
