Chepo's Mexican Restaurant - Wasilla

Gave me food poisoning ☠️, super slow service and they weren’t even that busy, waitress kept disappearing in the back doing various tasks instead of being attentive to her table, sat without drinks/refills for more than half the time, husband had to go to the bar to order our drinks for our family since she was too preoccupied, brought the wrong order to us, had to ask for hot salsa more than three+ times because she continuously forgot. Husbands meal was brought out 10 minutes after ours and was cold. We definitely won’t be going back and this sucks because it was in our weekly rotation for my night off from cooking.💔😔

Slow and noisy, food’s mediocre too many people.

Definitely has my vote as best fine-dine the Valley! Been served by this restaurant in big groups, a date and, tonight, just me!! The service and food is all done with such consideration!! It was just me coming in with more of a study-at-a-coffeshop vibe haha and they cared I could find a place to charge my phone, their communication with me was so natural and comfortable, they were never too far out of reach and also never rushing me! Such a blessed way to wrap up my night just after Church! Thank you, Chepos!!

It was great when the new location first opened but definitely not worth going anymore.
Over the last 4-5 times we went there nearly every time, they got my husbands order wrong or served completely raw steak. The drinks at times tasted like all syrup/no alcohol. And this last time I went with my son, I said to myself, “This is the last time, I have a gift card and some cash.” I paid $19 in cash and they said I paid $12. Didn’t want to fight about it just wanted to leave. Anyone who charges $30 for Mexican food better be serving up the best damn food and service possible. And this is 100% not worth it. Not going back anymore and we went very regularly since their old location.

Beautiful view, beautiful atmosphere, beautifully decorated, delicious food, excellent service by Kazi, a delightful lady, the greeter was a doll and welcoming and friendly (great 1st, 2nd, 3rd impressions by everyone). And the owner's amazing green sauce was deeeeelicious and addictive!
Thank you Chepo's for a relaxing wonderful dinner! Well done!!!

A very spacious and clean restaurant. However… the mexican food is simply not good. (I ordered 4 different types of their street tacos for reference) They were edible enough to eat but I will not be returning knowing there are way better options. I dined out with two others as well, they too said the food was nothing special and bland. If you’re looking for authentic mexican food I’d keep driving past this place.

Oh I love the new location. Can't get my favorite dish anywhere else but here in the whole wide world. 😩 not to be dramatic but it's always perfect. It's alcapolco dinner but I got a picture of the sampler here and it was also perfect.
